Why do people think that emo means freak,gay girly/whiny, and suicidal? It pisses me off when people are stereotype like that! I took an emo test online and supposedly I have a indie emo look. I'm 20% depressed (not suicidal !).40% wierd, 10% nerd, and 30% punk. Is the test supposed to make me feel better??!! Emo is better than gangsta garbage and I don't know why people have such a big issue on "EMO" getting out of hand. Its how we feel and we just express it by our clothes. I do agree on the fact that the wierd people ,that cut themselves, need some serious help;cutting yourself and feeling the pain doesn't help the situation your in!

Don't let the sad people get you down.
I live in the u.k. and my step daughter is an emo. She gets the same reaction over here. they think you want to slit your wrists. a lot of idiots out there just ignorant to a new type of music fashion scene. if its what you like keep it up.

Just took the test. Came up 45% EMO considering that I'm female does this make me a tomboy? Seems sort of dumb to me. I wouldn't waste my time. We are all individuals, pigeonholes are for pigeons.

I think emo is cool and I know you are too =]. Indie style is hot and your hairstyle is called "Various" they BOTH look AWESOME on you! Yea, I agree about the gangster part, at least emo people aren't hoods and thugs or w/e.

Yep. I hate stereotypes like that. I especially hate the whole gansta thing. People are always weirded out with "emo" music, then they're blasting their ears out with the lewdest music the earth has seen. I don't get it.

Lables suck anyway, be who you want and do what feels best! If that makes close to a stereotype fuck what they say, as long as it still you don't worry what they say...besides Emo is Awesome...

I have many partly emo friends. It doesn't matter to me at all. I have no clue why people judge without getting to know someone. I agree with kick_ass_writer_42, simplebeauty01, and ScarletBlack who are my best friends

Every sterotype/label has its own set of fuckups. People just tend to assume that if one emo person cuts then they all do. Dont let it get you down bud :]

Yeah, I'm emo. I was on a chat room one time and somehow we all started talking about being emo, so the people found out that I'm emo and then they told me that they "hate" me. wow. I didn't really care tho. I just made them kinda mad.
