Want to get ahead? Want to grow, change, evolve, and become successful? 

If there is one force in your life that can connect you to God and your destiny the fastest, it would have to be your intentions.

Want to know what your intentions are? Often they are the little voice, thoughts or decisions that we do so unconsciously and quickly we didn’t take the time to notice what they were. We just reacted. But we still formed an intention.

In scripture, the concept of forming intentions was prefaced by, “they said in their hearts”. When God told Abraham that he was going to have a son, Abraham fell down laughing and “said in his heart, ‘Shall a child be born unto him that is a hundred years old?” After the Noah’s Ark flood, God, “said in His heart” that He would never again curse the ground. And a foolish man, “says in his heart” that God does not see Him.

All this to say it’s the little things we say in our hearts that change our courses in life. Inside each of us is a dialog going on about what we think, feel, believe and want to respond. Each of us has the opportunity to look at that voice that is forming its intentions and seeing how the intentions follow through.

In Abraham’s case, he DID in fact have a son and God told him to name the son, “Isaac”. Isaac means “laughter”. The divine payback is brilliant. Abraham received the “desire of His heart”. And this was something Jesus taught too: That we should receive the, “desires of our heart”. So whether we sow for good or for pride – we shall reap what we sow.
