Champagne For One
Her angry shout cuts shallow,
The yell of his quickly follows,
The trashing bodies continue to fight,
Their ghastly words resound through the night,
Quickly, he turns around,
She screams, a horrid sound,
The falling knife cuts so deep,
The dark red stain starts to seep,
Blood splattered across the dark blue tiles,
His pain, his guilt, continues its piles,
The limp body falls, dead weight,
The soul passes through the gate,
Into the dark world beyond,
Far from the pain he was so fond.
Drinks
Dash of death and spot of greed,
Pint of pain and there’s your mead,
Passed to you with a careless wave,
Say your farewell to all things grave.
Splash of liquor and pile of life,
Pinch of agony caused by knife,
You drain the drink and get another,
Feel those emotions you’ve tried to smother.
Quart of torture and cup of fear,
Ounce of laziness and spoonful of beer,
All that’s left are your confused words,
But, sadly, those are completely slurred.
Pound of mercy and a fraction of sense,
Gallon of sanction and pot of intense,
You'll soon find out what it takes,
To overcome your dumb mistakes.
Fly
Don’t test the waters before you cross,
Take the chance before that too you toss,
Don’t let life pass you by,
Spread your wings and start to fly.
