"Ack!" Kagome nearly screamed as she checked her watch. She had five minutes to run six kilometers to school. Hurrying down the stairs of her shrine, she cursed her little brother for making her late. Once at the bottom, she slowed down as to not hurt anyone.

She nearly growled as she checked her watch once more. Time was running out and she was stuck at an intersection waiting for the crosswalk sign to flash green. Finally!! She mentally cheered as the light flashed and the cars stopped. Picking up her pace once more, she staightened her dark blue skirt.

Her mother had sent her to another school because of her grades, one called Seishun Academy. It was a junior high with a great reputation for sports and, surprisingly, academics. Why on earth they allowed her into their school she would never know.

The time flashed on an electric billboard, making the already agitated girl glare at the numbers. Kagome started to run through the crowd that was making their way leisurely to the other side of the road. Suddenly, she was knocked off her feet. Hitting the ground with a grunt, she grimaced slightly to see who knocked her over.

Momoshiro nearly growled as he looked at the wreckage that was once his bike. His younger brother had taken it to the park yesterday to meet his friends. Of course, he said it was an accident with that devilish smile of his plastered on his face. Sighing, he realized that he would have to walk to school today.

Turning away from the debris, he set off. (In)conveniently, there was a stray piece of metal residing in the middle of the teenager's path. The tall boy fell to the ground, surprised. Momoshiro could just feel his little brother's laughing gaze on him as he glared at the small metal before getting up. The metal seemed to smirk at him. Momoshiro started to mutter about deranged brothers and faggot-like metal as he, with all the dignity he could muster, walked down the sidewalk. This was not his day.

As the crosswalk light lit up, he smiled. He was almost to school, where he had no troubles, no annoying little brothers, or any other little pest wishing to make his life miserable. As he was halfway across the street, he was someone from his rival school heading towards him. The teenager seemed to smirk at him before he knocked over a girl in Seigaku's navy blue uniform. She hit the ground with an "oof" and looked to see whoever pushed her over.Momoshiro glared at the other boy before walking over the girl.

"Are you arlight?" He asked her as he held out a hand for her to take. She smiled at him and grasped his hand.

"Thanks," She dusted off her skirt. "I'm fine. No need to worry. Who was the jerk that pushed me?"

"A rival school," He explained as they began walking. "I'm Takeshi Momoshiro, by the way."

The girl shook his hand. "Kagome Higurashi. Thanks for helping me, Takeshi-san. Is there any way I could repay you?"

"It was nothing," He waved it off. "Please, call me Momo."

"Alright, Momo," He smiled. His day just got a whole lot better.
