Sorry for the lapse in time but I have been using email quite a bit instead.  The time here in Rade was much slower paced than the other two towns.  Got caught up on some much needed sleep.  I am almost out of clean clothes so I hope the next house has a dryer - many of them don't so your underwear winds up hanging by the front door in the yard...nice for all of the guests coming over!  I had cognac and a small cigar last night after a couple of glasses of french wine...I should have made the entry then while I was sooo relaxed.  The food everywhere is over the top but we have had lots of homemade desserts at this stop so I have been walking several times a day to try to offset the extra calories.

Went for another hike in the woods and went up on a tower overlooking miles and miles around here.  It was about 60 ft tall and although they said it was stable it swayed in the wind and there were several boards I was afraid would break so I stayed on the beams as much as possible.  We also went into the woods on the other side of town and into a bunker from wwII...gotta get ready for my ride.  I will write more later!
