When science and religion mix it's like oil and water. It becomes really difficult to be believe what is TRULY true. I fully get what your saying- it confuses me as well. Dinosaurs aren't mentioned in the Bible which makes you wonder what really happened. Scientist discover dinosaur bones everyday, so their existence really can't be false. The bible says God created animals and Adam and Eve in the first six days and rested on the seventh BUT scientists say dinosaurs and Humans did not live together. Maybe there is something that didn't get recorded who knows. Until the day things are revealed and completely figured out I'm going to keep religion and science completely seperated.

The earth dates much older than from the time of God's creative acts in Genesis and its aging and the aging of the dinosaurs are two different issues. Although I believe in a literal six day creation according to earths 24 hr. day I also believe that because of the expanding and slowing of that expansion of the universe that what takes place in 24 hrs. on earth may have happened over hundreds of thousands of universe expanding years since time is relative to motion. Physicist Gerald Schroeder a Messianic Jew (Jew for Jesus) has written at length about this phenomenon and could explain it better than I ever could. But either way dinos. existed alongside humanity and the carbon 14 dating method can be accelerated by many factors giving a "false positive" so to speak
