Hi Everybody :)
Today is a HUGE day in our Country!
I'ts interesting too, becuase it wasn't long ago that my husband and I were seriously considering being ex-pats and basically just getting the heck out of here...and NOW...I am filled today with the joy and appreciation for being an American...
I have been inspired to believe again, in mine and every citezen's power to shape this country for the better. Breathing, once again, the truths into our political procces that were set forth at the inception of our UNITED States.
This is the most important part.
For all of us to no longer look for a candidate in hopes that they can fix things for us.
WE must all take a responsibility in the workings of our goverment, and no longer allow ourselves to believe that we are powerless.
Our collective ability to change things for the better is infinate.
When it comes to choosing a candidate, I believe, the most important thing is to have a leader who can inspire that kind or action from people
I know who that canidate is for me.
I've been volunteering for their campaign, and spreading their message on the streets and subways.
Because, I know that no president, no matter how determined or intelligent, can change this country for the better, alone.
Only WE, the Citizens of this country, Can make that change.
Only with our own Effort,
our own Vision,
our own Wisdom.
So... Happy Voting Everybody!

Really a good post here... one may only hope that we can pull together enough to once again bring government under the control of the citizens of this nation... we have somehow relinquished much of that constitutional control...

Effort, Vision, Wisdom, Pride.... almost a political speech in itself, but one I can agree with for a change. lol

...turns out I was kind of giving a loose version of it when me'n'ry were going from car to car on the subway handing out info. LOL! ...honestly...It was a Blast! :)
