We still have so much to learn...don't we...and it’s interesting because we could really learn the most from those that we have silenced over the years. I guess that's the conundrum that occurs with the fact that wisdom and ambition just aren't synonymous with one another...Probably also why we have so few genuinely good presidents ;) ...

wow. i have to say that this fascinates me...have you ever struggled with hallucinations since then? have you ever talked to your sis about why she was cutting herself back then...i read you other entry too...and i think BDSM is right...it might be a good time to just fucus on resolving your feelings from you're long-term relationship...rebounds generally don't last very long and when they end they'll just keep reveiling the void left from the first one, only it will be even more confusing to deal with the more layers of relationship residue that are covering it...

yeah. and he may be depressed and feeling bad about himself for some reason too...i know when i'm feeling low, my sex drive drops even lower...try to be sensitive to the possibility that he's having a hard time with something and is depressed about it...alot of guys bottle up their troubles and fears 'cause they don't want to come off as being weak...

Pilates is Incredible! I actually taught it for a year before we move to New York...My mom's a PT, so I kinda grew up mildly obsessing over alignment and symmetry...
What's funny...is that I had always sworn off running...UNTIL, I got to NYC and it was pretty much all I could afford ;)
And I really began loving it!
thinking about lifting up and out of my joints, engaging my core,... symmetry once again :)
Enlightenment! I now understand your love an drive to run :)
...I'm doing Bikram now, though LOL... I'm too much of a southern girl to get my thin blood out there in the cold and run :P

Maybe this is just a bit to utopian...BUT ;) what if all the celebrities pooled a portion of their excess income together in order to form their own sort of "FEMA" that could help those in the "paycheck to paycheck" position get by during the strike.
This would really show the solidarity of the artist set...

hmmmm...yeah, i think rajah might really have a point there.
One that you seem to already be tapping into as well...
I totally feel you in that place...where you just had these big breakthroughs about who you are, what you want, and some insights into sides of yourself that you may not have even recognized before...
And at first...CLARITY! Good times w/ a new fresh person...
then...
well, it seems like you blasted off into the new relationship with all the steam of your self realizations, and were sailing through alright with that momentum...and then it just came to the point that you two where needing some forward ( or inward ;) momentum from some JOINT discoveries...and they just ain't as "Umph" worthy as they ought a be...
Here's some more Q's for you ;)
-Would you mind going in to "the rare times that we actually do go "deep" with each other began to take it's toll and I of course turn to over analyzing every little thing" a little more...
- Do you think he's just not a "big question" kinda person and hasn't really thought about the layers underneath so then he gets self-conscious and little defensive when that stuff is brought up...if so...maybe not the best long term match for you :)
OR
He has, and is just not as good at putting it into words like we lovely ladies usually are :)
this goes w/ a little story...
when my husband and I where first married...we went through this period where... I would bring up these "beneath the surface" Q's and deep observations...and he would totally respond in this defensive way and shut down! And i had know idea where this was coming from 'cause I knew he was a deep person and thought about stuff like that.
It wasn't until we talked about it, that it came out, that he felt like I was putting him on the spot and was not having enough time to really think about things and put them into words the way he needed...
This was a "blow my mind" moment for me 'cause that is when I realized how much I was still in the pattern of my old relationship...
I was still in the mode of having passionate "debates"
Even if that was not what I was intending, and I was thinking we we're just gonna have a nice time of "agreeing passionately"...
My energy was just coming off as kinda combative, which was shutting him down..
OR...
this could have been a nice laid back relationship good for you to boost your confidence, and now its time to take that pure self discovery time for your self alone...
WELL... I guess I really wasn't much help, just REALLY long-winded ;) I kinda got us right back to where we all started :)

Cause I think that your right, recovery has nothing to do with food, its all about thought patterns...
I struggled for a period of time...it wasn't until my hair was falling out and I'd practically pass-out every time I stood up, did I even admit I had a problem.
It's funny, lol, it was after I got married too, that I began to even out...before i'd peak and valley with my binge and fast periods...i guess now they're like gentle rolling hills.
But with that seems to come a sort of "mediocre" body image that i have now. I don't hate it, and I don't love it. I know what you mean about the "tiny" = self-worth thing.
I'm an actress too, so there are alot of career reasons for me to drop in size. Those pressures are very real. Honestly, in the industry's eyes...i'm merely adequete, not "immediatly castable".
So I don't think it is just our persective that is twisted.
I think the world's is too.

hmmmm... this reminds me of a situation that I went through...
A few Q's:
-do you and you're new guys still share deeply, or do you feel either him or you avoiding the "big questions" to keep things "conflict" free?
...ok, i lied...i just have one question ;)
it just makes me think that if the two of you still "passionately" agreeing about the big things then...HELL YEAH! we're talkin' soul mate material. And trust me ...the deeper and closer you two continue to get the "constructive disagreements" will come in appropriate measure.
Now...if not, and there's something you two are keeping tucked away in the the "safe place", maybe cause there's a part of you still stinging from not "succeeding" in your last relationship.....i know I went through that...I was so convinced that I could make anything work if I just really "dedicated" myself...
It would be kind of like the two of you standing on the pool deck complimenting each other's swim suit for a year, and now you just gotta jump in the pool.
What this year has definitely given the two of you is more of a sense of trust, which is what is going to REALLY come in handy in that pool of yours :)
Often times, people (myself included) mistake "passion" for constant turmoil. When all we are really doing is feeding off of a feeling of adrenaline we get from "I might Lose this Person!!"
In the long run, adrenaline is a cheap substitute to trust.
You should feel really great about yourself that you are asking these questions, though! That is totally the way we eventually are able to break our habitual patterns, huh...
You got this girl. Keep Following that inquisitive heart of yours!

Geez. This seems like a bum deal...It sounds like you're missing out on all the fun stuff! Play time, Bedtime stories, etc...Who imposed this "good mom" structure on all you UEMs?
I think you all should revolt.
I live in Brklyn Hghts and constantly see kids with nannies...I guess I just never thought about how the Moms are really the ones missing out in a lot of ways. You all are putting in so much time having to "show" your commitment to your kids that you end up not being able to actually enjoy the real thing.
It makes me think of my Mom...constantly at my sister's school, volunteering to the point of putting her own health and sanity in jeopardy.
On the flip side though...she does know all my sister's friends and can keep much better tabs on her. She's down with all the "drama", as it where, in my sis's highschool life, so the lines of communication are much more open...
hmmmmm... I guess there is no easy solution...I'm not sure I could even describe what the "perfect" balance would be...
