Well, as this this is my first real blog - (by 'real' I mean that I did have a 'stumble-upon' account for over a year - but that was more for linking and posting things of interest, rather than a personalized journal type of thing). I'm not sure how to begin; I suppose a small introduction for those who may read this..I am an artist - a Writer/Artist, interested in Science, Horror & Speculative Fiction. These are the genres I write about and enjoy reading.
My artistic endeavours consist of 3D Modelling with programs like 3dsmax and Maya; 2D Editing with Photoshop and Gimp. Also Sculpture and Painting.I am mostly self-taught.My past artistic and writing experiences are in Fine Arts at Curtin University here in Perth, Western Australia, where I was retaining a distinction average. However, a long term respiratory illness has made it difficult for me to be consistant in attending work or study, and so my endeavours are my own, focused on at home, and a source for a personal never-ending battle with 'evil procrastination'.
Procrastination being one reason why I am starting this blog; to free up some rigidities in my research and a place where I can amass and keep track of all the varied interests I have. It is sometimes hard to focus on one piece of writing or artwork because I am blessed with potential in most areas of the arts and often find my energies being scattered. My main drive in this life is Unconditional Love and Human Rights. These things feature largely in my work and I can think of nothing better to strive towards and devote my life to.
I will post some of my better poetry and favourite renders of 2D/3D CG work very soon.
It would be nice to meet some people interested in similair things here on THOUGHTS.COM.
Short but sweet - Yet, I will write more when it's not after 1am and my mind not so tired. I'd like to be refreshed to continue this blurb. Like usual: so much to say, but needing time to gel within my mind.
All the best to you and remember: 'Love, Love, Love..It sure won't do any damage. :)
