To satisfy the needs to be "the centre of attention"...People create chaos by sizing up person's existence and fabricating things to the extent of meddling other people's lives not knowing the problem they have caused.I agree,everybody has issues here no matter how you hide it.
Breaking and hurting each others feelings becomes an obsession. Trying to take advantage of another's inner weakness is being deliberately done.
By the way,I have seen the tv series "Heroes" and I have almost completed all the episodes.The point of the storyline is applicable in real life as well.
Sylar(the antagonist)...goes after the power among the other gifted "Heroes".He must kill inorder to absorb the power.
Same as a parasite that needs to kill all the others around it inorder to dominate..Just like my original gist in the first few paragraphs, A person will try to cover up their faults and evil intentions by purposely belittle another's life.
