Sharing miracles...from your Israeli family
Don't be discouraged dears ones...Sister Nellie always said; "don't hurry, don't worry, and don't doubt the outcome."  Hope an update on our dear Ori will encourage you to keep pressing on with joy and rejoicing.  Almost two years ago Ori (then 14) fell from a roof where he had been setting, visiting with his friends.  He fell almost seven meters onto his head, breaking his neck.  Our first miracle occured when his friends (his age) refused to move him when he begged for them to straighten his head.  Some stayed at his side, talking and keeping him calm and awake,  while others went for his folks and medical help.  Three ambulances arrived before one had the proper equipment for his injuries.  Meanwhile his dad called the family from the ambulance for prayer and we all passed that prayer request to our friends and neighbors, Jews and Gentiles alike...united.  His injuries were so sever that the first hospital in Safad sent him right on to Rambam in Haifa as they aren't equiped to handle head and spine trauma.  When arriveing in Haifa, the emergancy staff called in specialists who after exstensive tests informed us Ori would be permenently paralized from the neck down.  They drilled holes in Ori's skull and attached a metal helo to hold his head ridged on his neck.  All this time his parents kept a 24 hour watch at his bedside.  Members of our extended family flew in to take their turn at prayer and support.  As each day went by, we refused to accept that this was all cut and dry.  After all our God specializes in miracles.  Friends of Benji (Ori's dad) from the IDF (Israeli Army) took their turns at the bedside as well.  One of these men had a friend whose dad is the head professor at the major trauma hospital in Tel Aviv...Tel Hashomar.  His specialty is broken neck injuries.  Benji's friend called for them and the professor agreed to see them at 2:00 am that morning if they could get all the paperwork and tests together and get to his house in Tel Aviv.  God gave them angels wings and they made it...and another miracle occured.  The professor okayed the transfur of Ori to Tel Hashomar and he agreed to operate and see if he could put the pieces back together.  His comment to them was...I can fix it but only the Almighty can heal it.  When he preformed the surgery he found the frightening fact that loose bone chips were resting near the spinal cord and one move could and would sever it.  Like you, folks all over the world from every walk of life, every nation, kindren and creed, agreed together for a miracle.  And we are living ours....Ori graduated from no feeling from the neck down...unable to move his hands to feed himself or scratch his nose even...to wheel chair that he had to be tied into...to crutches....to crutch.  Yes it's taken time but that doen't make it less a miracle...Time means nothing in the Lord.  He started feeding himself with a utensil strapped to his wrist after months of having someone feed him.  He needed 24/7 days and hours of assistance...but today he walks down stairs with just his crutch.  Yes we still have to stand by him as he gets terrible spasms and is liable to fall but that's just nerves learning they jobs again.  So remember dear ones...Ori and Anna arn't what they used to be (yet) not what they want to be but in the end they'll be better than ever and so will all of us who have traveled this road with them.  Hey it isn't everyone who can be apart of a miracle....but all of you can and are.  Love and Shalom from Quinten and Patty

Bro. Quinten, Sis. Patty, thank-you so much for that testimony, I am so glad that Ori is recovering well, and thank God for His loving mercy. You're right, we are truly blessed to be part of Anna's miracle! I always remember the time Lael took me to Jerusalem to meet Sis. Nelly, about 3 days after we started dating. God allowed Sis. Nelly to look right through the back of my eyeballs, she searched around my soul, and gave us her blessing! Looking at me then, who'd have thought it?!!! Turns out God doesn't see things quite like we do!!!! I am going to print out the "Don't hurry..." quote and put it on the wall. God bless, Richard
