 Bible Quote for children
Hosea 13:16 (King James) Samaria will bear her guilt because she has rebelled against her God.
They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to pieces,  and their pregnant women ripped open.

"any system of religion that has anything in it that shocks the mind of a child cannot be a true system."

Thomas Paine

I believe most stories in the Bible were parables. Not actual events.
Stories to teach us spiritual truths...good and bad truths.
So many people take it literally to every story.
I think the Bible is a Philosophy Book.
A book to teach us what mankind is all about.
Try reading it like that for awhile.
Jesus even taught in parables...he was trying to teach us how to behave through stories.
Peace.

would you be open to a bible study that would show you, proof that the Bible is true?

SaySo: I read this one, read the blog, because it pertained to children which I have of my own... I read the whole chapter and DS is so on the money with the way the bible reads and if it is this stuff you pick apart it is as if you are searching for killing... the context of this chapter are not of no such thing. He speaks as how he will leave the land in his "parables" as he was there for them when THEY were in need and they turned their backs so he will leave it as he found it in the end... Once again, I admire your fight and you have had your share of feedback, so as you said last night, you are prepared... but those of the lord always but on the armor to go against evil as they will when commenting. Its not right or wrong, you wrote about it as your right and we are all commenting as our right.

Please note, as I said "right", I meant in our rights, both you and others to comment, our right to comment and your right to write what you do...

If you think Thomas Paine's comment is true, then the majority of relious histories can shock a child of any given age. Not everything is fuzzy and peachy about history, rather it be religion or not. I know I said I would not come back, but you brought children into this and I had to respond. Will you respond to those who keep asking you what your real purpose is to blogging? If it is just to bash the bible, then just say so, if it is something else, then please answer. You have had your comments and your bitterness spewed and listed to, so have the balls to explain why you are really here.

DifficultSoul, that is just my point. It may not mean what it appears to mean, but, nevertheless, it does say those things in clear words. That is why so many fanatics hate one another. They claim the OT god was the first to order man to kill man. My mother in law was a radical southern fundy and once I said what a disgrace it was for innocent children to be caught in wars they never started. Her reply was very typical in the area in which I live. She said they would just grow up to be heathens anyway if they were not 'one of us'. This is from the mouth of a 'godly' person. Not only did she approve of children dying brutal deaths, but she had already judged little children and doomed them to hell. Few things push me over the edge, but cruelty of any kind to a child will do it. If that isn't crazy enough, have you ever heard of the Flat Earth society? When I first heard that term, I thought it was a spoof. It is real and those people are serious. Since the bible appears to teach the earth is flat and the sun and moon moves instead of the earth, they believe what the bible says. They even believe the earth sits on pillars and has a dome over it just like the scriptures state. These people think you will die and go to hell if you believe the scientic view of the earth and heavens. The live their entire lives fighting to get these views taught in schools and churches. They have taken the precious life they have here and wasted it on something so silly.

Still can't comment on why you are really here blogging?

or won't?

book, I posted my reasons already tonight under The Truth About the Bible. I think I made it as clear as possible.

So many interpretations of Scripture.
Some things we come up with is ridiculous.
Like the Flat Earth Society.
That is why I studied The Book...and Science.. and took my own view on it to heart.
I urge you to do the same.
You are filled with knowledge on Scripture.
It is deep within in your heart.
Forget your mother in law's faith.
It wasn't yours.
Take that knowledge you have ...and treat it as a puzzle.
Design and put together your own faith.
That is what we are meant to do anyway.
Seek and you shall find?
Find your own faith.
Peace.

That is just more about why you don't believe in the bible, not why you are here spewing hatefulness and bitterness. I guess what I want to know is if your whole point in posting was to "prove" the bible incorrect, then you have committed overkill and your mission is complete. So, why are you still here spewing hate? I don't get it, you can only re-word what you have said so many times before it is mindless babble. Is there another reason, that is what I would like to know? You have made your point that you don't believe in the bible and all the other points you have made about the bible, so is that your soul purpose here? If so, you should be done, I would think.

Still no comment? Have you finished your purpose here? Or do you have more to say about a different topic? Or more of the same bible-bashing? That horse is dead, don't you know? You can only write so much on one topic to try and make a point and then it is over. Do you have any other topics you would like to write about?

Hey bookghoul, the group home is looking for you. It is for your afternoon meds! lol Your BP seems to be a bit high too.

Guess you can't answer a few simple questions. So sad, I actually thought you were an intelligent person who had things to say, guess not. Only spewing ugliness and hate again. Sorry for you. May God bless you!

I knew you would come back with the other side of your 'face'. Read the last two comments you made, and how dare you say God Bless You when what you really mean is you can't wait to see me burn in hell. You play the same little game most of your type play. You are so 'meek and humble' and when some don't fall for that act and you fail to receive the attention you are seeking, you show your true colors.

I am not the least bit interested in you or what you think. I will post on topics I choose and do not give a rats behind whether you like it or not. Is that clear enough?

You need to stop the little miss holy uppity act and remember the higher a monkey climbs, the more you see of its ugly behind.

I agree with your monkey comment, totally. I do not agree with your comment about my other "face". I asked questions and made comments, none were hateful or mean. They were straight forward and to the point. If that is two faced, that is news to me. I was just wondering if you had anything new to write about. I guess not. All you had to say was no, or you will see. By the way, I am not acting meek and humble, I have never been accused of being meek. I do not seek attention, I get plenty where I am, thank you. I do not need it on a blog site for attention. I believe I and a lot of others have given you way too much of our time and you didn't want discussion or comments, you wanted discourse. I was interested in why you were saying what you were, not trying to change you, but you can't leave it at that. Just because you have a ball of hate in your belly doesn't mean we all do. Nor does it mean we all play into your game of spitting and spewing. You think you made a certain point here and you are so totally wrong, you made a point ok, but not the one you were trying to get across. And we all got it. Thank you for opening our eyes to the TRUTH!!!

So now you think you have the authority to speak for everyone here! I have made several nice contacts since I have been here. They are now my personal email contacts which I am enjoying sharing views and information with.

As for you not being nasty or mean, like I said, go back and read the last 4 or 5 comments where you insulted me and DEMANDED a reply and explanation of my posts. No one demands that I do anything.

I certainly have never asked for your time or attention nor imput. My post are for those who share a similar interest, just like everyone else who post on this site. Apparently, you and I do not share the same interest, so please feel free to pass my writings by and go your merry way. No one is going to force you to read anything.

You are without a doubt one of the most pious, phony and hypocritical souls I have ever met. If you can't read what I write and understand, even in the smallest way, my concern is not that the bible is a fraud, but that extreme radical fanatics believe it to be the source of approval for ungodly wars and mass murder. If that is not a reason for concern to you, then busy yourself with whatever you think is important.

I suggest you watch world news or pick up a newspaper once in a while. Research Islam, Christian Zionist and Zionist Judaism and see the driving force behind each one is their twisted belief system. Anyone who flys a plane into a building full of unsuspecting innoncent people in the name of a god is a sick person. Anyone who straps a bomb to themselves and walks into a crowd and blows them all away, including themselves, is a very mislead and religiously brainwashed person. Any religion that teaches these things is good for no one or anything. I don't know about you, but I would rather try and get the word out that there is NO GOD who commands one group to kill another. I know I do not want my family to ever be caught in the middle of what is already brewing in the middle east. We have already been their target and we know we are hated. If all of this fighting over land and whose god is right doesn't get defused soon, I hate to think what is coming next.

Your explaination about certain religions teaching the killing of innocent others, I agree with. Thia mess that we have on our hands with people strapping bombs, as you said, and blowing people up, is totally uncalled for and out of control. I understand what you are talking about when you write that way. You weren't coming across this way in your other writings, and I, like others couldn't understand your upset about Christianity in particular. Now that you raise the issue of, not Christianity in general, but destruction of lives, I understand you better. You come across totally different than you did before. That is a compliment, by the way. I don't have to agree with you, nor you with me, to have a discussion about any given topic.

Well book, all is forgiven and forgotten. I am a dedicated truth seeker. The opposite of truth is, of course, a lie and I can't settle for that. The bible does have some gems of wisdom and one of them is the verse that says "ye shall know the truth and the truth will make you free". The truth is not easy to find at times and it takes much study and research. It can get frustrating, but the effort is worth it to me. I believe with every fiber of my being that until the time comes, if ever, when all of mankind understands any religion or leader who encourages war in the name of a god is a false one with a very deceptive and evil agenda. There is a wonderful video on googlevideo called The Bible Unearthed, I highly recommend it. It is very professional and it features Jewish archeologist from Tel Aviv University and other top universities who are top in their field.

We all live on the same planet and we should never allow certain segments to decide the fate for the rest of us. There is nothing anyone could ever say or do that would in any way convince me there is justification in harming innocent people, especially children! They all say it is a fight against evil. What could be more evil than killing a child? I could never wish for a child anywhere to die in hopes it would make me freer. My life is no more important than theirs. It all makes no sense to me at all. Anyway, all that being said, I will make many folks very happy and say goodbye to all. Take care.

SaySo, you've got some strong compassion for children. This seems to be the theme in several of your posts. I'm just curious as to whether you've always felt like that, or if an incident increased your passion for children. I feel the same way; I was just curious.

I don't think that you should leave. You're not making me happy by saying goodbye. :( Your posts are thought provoking...and insightful. While many disagree with you, it has caused them to want to study and learn more about what they believe. At any rate, I don't think you should go. I'm sorry that your posts have been replied to with angry words and scornful attitudes.
