 Lies & a movie?
My mom lied to me. And I'm not exactly happy about it. I spent an entire night crying about it. I was told that when my mom got sick it was the flu or something, but I found out ON MY OWN what it really was. Her leg had gotten worse and her foot was so swelled that one of her toes was barely visible.

This leg problem started when I was 11 and we went to Florida for vacation. One  morning right before we were going to  Bush Gardens my mom got very sick, her foot was swelled and there was this red rash-like thing on her foot up to her knee. My father decided that we we stay the rest of the next 4 days at the rented house and we would take my mom to the hospital the day we leave. In the waiting room after my mom was called in they showed movies and we had gotten through about 3 by the time my mom came out. They didn't know what it was so we just went home. Every so often it will come back but this time it's a lot worse than the others and I'm really worried.

I've been cleaning, doing laundry and even cooked supper for the past 4 days. I've taken over everything my mom used to do, plus my own stuff I normally do. I finally have a bit of free time to sit and relax. I can't believe my mom didn't tell me. But then, I figure that she didn't want me to worry, so I'll just keep doing what I can to help out.

That stuff  happened probably a few days ago and my mom is slowly starting to get better. She's been doing some laundry and we're hopefully going to see a movie tomorrow and next saturday. =D I'm sure everything will be all right.

hi there...
that sounds like a recurring chronic infection and could be really serious - you should try to get her to a doctor who will try to figure out what's really going on.
good luck.

I thought about that too but she doesn't want to go to a different doctor. She's so stubborn. -.-

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that.. If I were in your position, I'd be frustrated she didn't tell you, but very very touched that she simply didn't want to cause you worry.

And yeah, I'm with the Man of Stick on this one - she reeeally needs to get it checked out :S

I hope it works out ok :)

Thanks. She's somewhat better and they have her on medication so everything is getting better.
