How do you get help in a system made for mothers n
Afternoon,

I find myself writing this blog as a way to vent the frustrations I have every day. I am 32 single and a father. My baby girl is 9 months and she is the light of my life. When her mother got pregnant we stopped being romantic and my life went to sh** fast. Not because I was hurt as I knew we were unable to have a constructive loving relationship but because since that point the line was drawn and I feel like I have gone to war. I am not ignorant to the fact that there are allot of BAD fathers in the world. I wish I could change that fact but all I can do is not be one myself and hope I have influence on other fathers in my life. I have had to fight for the right to see my child, and every agency I have been to for the past 6 months looks at me like I am a deadbeat and I pay 820.00 a month ontime for child support I live in NC and you go on their website they show zero pictures of men with their children just mothers with their children. When I went to court ordered mediation I was told over and over by the psychologist that the mother was much more important than me in the child's life at this time. Is that true? Is it right? Are we as a society turning our back on fathers? Are we helping the problem? My baby’s mama makes fake claims all the time about me. Who thinks I get the benefit of the doubt? Never I always have to prove her claims false. I have a court ordered agreement that states I get a hour and a half two days a week which are at 330 I have to leave work early since the mediator did not want to take any time away from my Childs mother and one eight hour day on the weekend. Every time I pick up my child I get emailed at work that day about twelve times. She always has conditions. I will end this with two thoughts. Why if you Google mother and father advocates U will find many resources for mothers not so much for fathers?  The only reason I am able to continue to battle this war is because I have a father that is my ROCK and stands behind me and is never afraid to tell when I am wrong. All I want is the same for my daughter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I will go into more detail in later post on my difficulties with the babies mother.

To all the men out there willing to fight to see there child; STAY STRONG

To the women who raise children by themselves: I applaud you this post is no way anti single mothers.
