Hey there SLC’ers!
As always there is so much going on at SLC, I almost don’t know where to start!
This Monday was our “International Carnival” complete with games, inflatable rides and of course, food! We all had a great time and enjoyed the beautiful weather.
In fact, we have been pretty lucky these last couple of weeks. After an early start with rainy day following rainy day, we have had a string of beautiful days and had a chance to get out on the lake and ball fields and really enjoy all that camp has to offer.
Today, SLC was honored to have our first B’nai Mitzvah of the summer. For those who don’t know, SLC offers the chance for campers and counselors who have not yet become Bar or Bat Mitzvah to do so at our camp services. It was a gorgeous day at the Eddie Cantor Theatre as the families of the B’nai Mitzvah looked on with pride as Nicole, Michael and Richard became the newest members of the SLC family to become B’nai Mitzvah at camp. Mazel tov!
Tomorrow, we are excited to welcome all of the SLC parents to camp for our first visiting day of the season. Our campers are really excited to show off all of the things they have been working on. Parents can expect to see amazing art projects, group plaques hanging in the lodges, newly planted gardens at Teva and of course an encore performance of our annual Music Show! Also on the schedule will be time to meet counselors, specialists and supervisors, tour the cabins, picnic lunch and don’t forget to save time to hit the waterfront for swimming and boating!
That’s all for this week, see you at camp!
