Happy pre x-mas

I'm a person who owns a HVAC company. I feel sad as my employees did not thank or acknowledge their X-mas gift. When I was an employee I was grateful not entiled for whatever my employer gave! Am I self rightous or expecting a simpe thank you too pre mature? I've just come into our busiess 8-31-07. I was peviously in the corporate world. Now I'm dealing with employee's and a diffrent blend of customers.

When your employees have done a noteworthy job, how have you thanked them or shown appreciation?

I gave them a card, $50 cash & a new wintet jacket. In the past I've praise them often and even pay them cash rewards from my own pocket for a job well done!
