I took off Saturday, because I was very busy and needed a rest but I got back on track today. Day 5 of running, I went out for my first 2 miler. I started out at a slower pace, and finished the first mile at 7:40, this allowed me to have the energy left over to go the whole second mile without walking. Yeah me, no walking. My second mile was 8:27, and my time at 1.5 miles was 11:54 which is my fastest time for 1.5 miles so far since returning. Tomorrow I'll either run hills or do another run on the track. Not sure. 8 laps on the track equals 2 miles, I felt pretty good for the first 5 laps, then my side started getting sore, I was able to hold good form thru 7 laps but then the pain got too much, and I was just doing what ever it took to get finished with the 8th lap without walking which i did, and I was proud of myself. My final time for the 2 miles was 16min 7secs.
I felt really good after the run because I didn't think that I would be able to go a full 2 miles without walking on just my 5th day back running.
