About a couple of months ago I realised that the extended warrenty on my laptop was about to run out, so I thought I might aswell break it and claim for a new one. So off I went with destruction my aim, I had decided to try and overheat it. I popped a audio cd in and put it on replay, wrapped it in a magazine for insulation, plugged it in then put it all in its case. 8 hours later the bloody thing was still happily playing away. Time for plan B, in its case I repeatedly threw it on the floor; hard! All it did was crack the outer casing in a couple of places but still worked fine. I sent it away anyway hoping that they would deem the repairs to costly and replace it, but to no avail - Fortunately for them they repaired it; unfortunately for me they have had it since the 9th of October and still have it now although hopefully I will get it back soon. Apperently they went to the trouble to order some parts and fix things I didn't even know were broken. I guess the morale of this story is that if you want a very robust reliable laptop get a HP as they are hard as fuck!
