5 really dumb laws

I am taking a goverment class at school and to my amazement I learned some pretty strange laws:

In Carbondale, Illinios you can't stand on the 500 block of Illinios Ave. (What?)
In Champaign, Illionios no one can pee in thier neighbors mouth. (Where did that come from?)
In Colorado it is illegal for car dealers to show cars on Sundays. (Okay?)
In North Carolina it is unlawful to use an elephant to plow a cotton field.
In New Jersey you can't wear a bullot proof vest while commiting a murder.(Plain stupid.)

I wonder where on earth these crazy rules and laws came from, but most of all I wonder about the last one. If you are commiting a murder you will already get in trouble, so why do they need to make it illegal to wear a bullet proof vest?

lol nice but the car dealer ship one is not only in colorado its here in texas to.i think its dumb. and i guess i should hide my elephant.

In Cincinatti [sp?] Ohio, you can not eat cookies on the sidewalk - because a couple hundred years ago the city had marble sidewalks (when Cincinatti was the coolest place to hang out) and people were paid to sweep the sidewalks and keep them clean.

There is a town in Montana where you cannot carry an ice cream in your pocket on Sunday.

In Maryland, a person can still be hanged in a public square for horse thievery.

I am guessing that these laws were never challenged, therefore were never abolished and remain on the books.

I am glad I don't live in Champaign, Illinois, because I would love to pee in my neighbors mouth [is it a crime to say that in Florida?]. And btw, I don't have a urine fetish, I just don't like my neighbor!

AND ...

If I was going to shoot a person to death, I think I would just put on the vest and go for broke!

BUT ... if I just shot the person below the waist at close range, it would only be aggrivated assault! So I would shoot him in both legs, wearing a bullet-proof vest, with my lawyer on speed dial, and enough bail money for 2 counts of aggrivated assault!

... LOL
