 Language, do you get It?
Something about our language and use

DEFINITION (ANALOGY) - comparison: a comparison between two things that are similar in some way, often used to help explain something or make it easier to understand

First, know that I love analogies as much as the feeling of infactuation, because when words escape me, the most accurate analogy will suffice, and permit readers to see something is like something else. When I need an analogy, it arrives like that proverbial well known imaginary light bulb that glows above your head, “IDEA!” I got it.  I almost get an orgasm, okay, okay, that was a weak analogy, but it made you relate something to something else.  LOL

I also love analogies because they come to my rescue when no other way of explaining work. The effort is discovering the proper analogy, and it does take quite an effort of discovery. It’s a discovery because it’s a process of finding something unexpectedly that will help clarify the meaning of what I'm trying to say.

Hmmm., analogy, a word and concept that was alien in my youth. I’m sure I could have avoided a lot of setbacks early in life if I knew how to unravel and explain concealed (in society), analogies freely available.  Also, my alias might have been Barrack Obama.

I could have found ways to explain everything… let alone one thing. I"ve always wanted to explain why ice cream detaches itself and falls off the cone in proportion to how fast it melts, but what purpose would that serve, it's not a life changing revelation unless you sell ice cream cones.

However,  it would be a great advertisement.  I can see it now, "Ice cream that sticks to your cone, like it sticks to your pallet.  Did I spell pallet correctly, help me out here.

In my adolescence, I soon realized it is less troublesome to simply buy ice cream, singular, as opposed to the ice cream cone, (two items combined), as a unit. An ice cream cone is like a ticking bomb, with the inevitability that the ice cream will plummet downward off the cone if you don‘t hurry and enjoy it.

How do you hurry and enjoy ice cream; ask a kid, It's all a part of being a kid and the adrenalin rush when eating ice cream.  We can all relate.  Once upon a time we were kids.   A kids tongue will save the fall of ice cream plummeting to the ground quicker than you can get off the toilet before the water jets on you.  LOL

Moving right along, kindergarten began with one syllable words, and the words were almost always associated with a picture; a noun,…person, place or thing.

Unfortunately, my elementary school designated me learning disabled as a child because I would always leave out words in my writings that didn’t have a picture associated with them, words like "the", "a", "an", "and." The articles of our language, as I now know too well.   Also, they didn't have the technology or understanding to help them to properly assess students at the time, whomever them is.

If you have children remember their school teachers are not necessarily scholars.  I'm sure some teachers graduated from college with simply a passing grade when your child could be better served  with a beyond average intelligence teacher, especially when the child has tested beyond average intelligence.

It's unfortunate that some of these beyond average intelligence children slip through the cracks.

However, never degrade a teacher, it's already tough enough to teach in our country of America with all the budget cuts.  Besides, teachers, teach because they want to, and that is quite a feat.

Abruptly moving along, an article is a word before a noun that specifies whether the noun is definite, or indefinite.  "A", "an", "and", "the" are designated articles grammatically speaking that is.

I’m sure some readers didn’t get that previous explanation because the last paragraph explain something that require you to look up something else to understand the original something in the first place. Don’t you hate when that happens?

Looking for a final conclusion? Sorry about that.  I'm blogging, I don't have the time to elaborate, (another saving word) amen to that.....finito.
