 Tomorrow

He will come my son
I know he will come
He promised so I know he will
Watch for the signs
Listen to his heartbeat
Feel his nearness
Smell his stale dryness
And his damp wetness
Sense his imminence
And be patient son
He will surely come.

I saw tomorrow yesterday
He is a careful man
And usually takes his time
He was in a stately carriage
That bears the insignia of the sun-god
And he was putting on too
A bright cloth of sunlight
Strapped to his wrist
I saw a golden sun-clock
That ticks and ticks
And I know he will come.

I met him
But couldn’t go near him
He was surrounded like always
By a great multitude
In the crowded jot of struggling heads
I saw him
But couldn’t go near him
I caught a glimpse of his traveling kit
And I know he will come.
He was wearing
A crown with moon as beads
His garment was day
And I think I saw him
Sitting regally like a knight
On his sun carriage.
He was tossing balls of fire
Into the still sky
Then I know he will come

He will come
He surely will
He left with me his staff,
With emblem of the moon goddess
You cant see now son, I lost it!
You are not convinced then I saw him?
I do son, I saw him and he said
And I know he will come.
He was wearing his hair in golden locks
And his shoe lace is made
Of diamond twines
On his head sat a crown of star
And his cloak was bright
Very bright as a moon in its peak
And wearing a sandal of pearls.
Deep down I know he will come .
Was his garment the bright of sun
The moon or star?
Whatever son,
I did see him and know
He must come
Because he says he will.
