I love jokes simply because it has a way of making serious issues light. There is this particular joke of how God created dogs, lion, , donkeys, monkeys and man, [a fine alliteration] and gave the dog 20 years and, said to it you shall be man’s best friend, to play with him, protectively aggressive and die for man. The Dog thanked God and begged that ten years be subtracted from his 20 and God granted his request.

The lion was given 25 years and was told that he will be feared by other animals because of his sheer strength and will rule over other animals with his power but must submit to man.

The lion asked that 15 years be subtracted and God honored his wish. But when God created man he gave him dominion over everything in chiding the lion and seeing that other animals were rejecting some years out of their lives, he decided to make man’s job simple by allotting to man’s 15 years to 15 years.

Next was the donkey who was given 25 years with a directive that it will be man’s, "beast of burden" all his life to which the donkey pleaded that 15 years be taken away and its wish was also granted.

To the monkey, he gave 30 and said it will live jumping from one tree to the other and serve as an object of amusement to man’s children and the monkey begged that he be given only ten years.

It was now the turn of man to accept or beg for reduction but God was surprised when man began thus: “Thank you o God for this gift and your promise that I shall have dominion over every other things created including my brother animals and sisters. May I therefore make a request Lord, that the15 years rejected by the lion, the 10 years by the dog, the 15 from the donkey and the 20 from the monkey be added to mine”.

To this request of man God granted and the result today is that when man had lived his original 15 years of carefree life in the custody of his parents or relative, not caring about much of anything just like that of a dog,Towards the tail end of his "dog-years" he pursues everything on skirts or trousers? yet protects jealously his/her sibblings.

His Lion-years is started from the age of 30, dominating the other sexes and trying to conquer his environment showing of how young and aggressive and impressive he can be until the woman finally ensnare him to begin a family or vice versa.

The Donkey-years comes with him labouring to sustain his family who may either be living in the original man-years or must have crossed over to the Donkey-years and then finally the monkey-years that sees him moving from one son-in-law or daughter in law’s house to the other and trying very hard to amuse his grandchildren with every day jokes and unconvincing magic.

Stories abound of animals example such as the tortoise that man’s request of 75 years a child’s play. There exists a tortoise that is still living in one of the King's palace in western Nigeria that is believed to have lived more that 350 years. they refer to it as “Baba Agba” meaning elder-statesman.

A CNN present sometimes back, showed us a story of one madam Condozar who was paraded as the oldest living person “known”. She was 222years!

The point I am trying to raise here is that man has been empowered to make any request from God and we were promised that His will, will be done earth as it is in Heaven!.

To re-emphasize this promise, God created you unique and the heavens stood still for you at the time of your birth.

“At the moment of your birth, the sun, moon, and planets were in particular arrangement in the heavens. This exact arrangement will not be repeated for 4,320,000 years. This means another person with exact horoscope will not walk on this earth for another 4,320,000 years!" -Joanna Martine Wool folk

Even when that person is born, he will never be the same because of the entirely different genetic and environmental factors that will be prevalent then.
