| Christmas....the Aftermath |

So, Christmas is officially over, but a long way from forgotten. I spent the day opening gifts, eating, greeting and generally having a good time. It was wonderful! I would not change the time I get to spend with my family this time of year for anything.
However, I would change the aftermath. There is wrapping paper everywhere, in the dogs cage, under the couches, under the t.v., there is wrapping paper in the bathroom for the love of God....how does it even get there?
I cannot see my sink...there are dishes piled almost to the freakin' ceiling...I bought disposable plates, but between cups, silverware and serving utensils the dishes have taken over the kitchen!
I am still sweeping up pine needles and those little plastic twisty ties are stewn about the house like pesky ants on a pile of sugar!
I will be cleaning this mess up into the new year by the time you factor in making room for everything, burning cardboard, throwing out the trash, the dishes, and just general organizing that needs to be done.
I guess all good things must come with a hint of bad right? Otherwise you wouldn't appreciate them!
