That goat ate my alarm clock...
Alarm Clocks….like most, I have such a hate-hate relationship with them. They are a necessary evil, especially for me, but could someone make one that does not make me want to jump out of a window?

Something that has been happening to me lately is even more annoying than that damn clock, it’s the fact that I have been waking up right before it goes off! Not the comforting “oh I still have two more hours to sleep - awesome” wake up before it goes off, but usually anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes before. So, while all I want to do is curl up and go back to sleep, it’s useless because all I am thinking about is "that damn clock is going to go off any minute!" Sigh. I don’t understand the premature waking thing any more than I understood a period of my life that lasted for a few months where I woke up at exactly 3 am each morning.

Am I alone in this? Does anyone else have these sleep issues?

Okay, so I am adding a “something good” to my blog posts. I get so tired of all the negativity that is in the media/information/mainstream/internet/omgarewethisconntected these days. Oh wait, so what does that say about me?

Today’s something good comes from New York state, Yonkers to be exact, where some union firefighters have agreed to work a shift without pay to save the jobs of colleges who have recently been a casualty of budget cuts. Way to go guys! That is certainly something good!

And on a funnier, omg I want one something good….. Mesa, Arizona city officials have hired goats to clear weeds and brush in an area of property that is a little treacherous to mow. Apparently they can be hired through a company called ECO-goat. (I hope they are union) Way to go green Mesa! And I really, really want one of those goats.

Thanks for stopping by!

GET UP!!!!!!
I discovered 'Citrus alarm clock' (a free windows app) that wakes me up with whatever tune I want, or just about anything that's a wav file. So now I can wake up five minutes before my favorite tune starts.

I hope they're not going to use underage kids in Mesa.

Thanks for the heads up dwarry5oh, I am loving it! It's much better than the air raid siren on my current clock...

DouglasMB, I am a horrible "sleep eater"! I'm serious. I actually wake up with wrappers lying next to me. It's a real problem! :)

Thanks for the comments! There are so many cool people on this site...I am really loving it!

Hook me up with this Windows OJ clock thing:P Just no ad ware or crap Virjayjay(you know what I mean). Sounds cool.

I got rid of an alarm clock for that sound:P You should get one set to radio, duh:P Radio girl:P

Or, there are mp3 clocks you can program.

That waking issue I experienced in HS. It comes with being up late at night working only to have to get up early for school/work. Your body is so wired, its up early...and the clock going off a minute later is just fate kickin yer ass:P

LOL, I wish the radio would wake me up, but it doesn't. I guess due to the enormous amount of time I have spent sleeping at work! :)
