How cold is it? (I love these…)
It’s so cold here, hitchhikers are holding up pictures of thumbs!
I know I should not complain, because I am in the tropics considering what other areas are dealing with. Where I am, it’s about 5 actual temp with a wind chill of -11. In New York state, wind chill was about 33 below! Okay, I don’t care what anyone says, that is friggin cold! I hope everyone is staying warm and if you are in an area that is above 50 degrees right now, I may be moving there soon!
Moving on…
It’s all Inauguration talk here in the US and really all over the world as Barack Obama prepares to officially take office next week. What an amazing time! Regardless of your political views, it has been and will continue to be a historic time for this country. With all that is happening (economy, middle east, Iraq, etc…) I sure would not want to be in his shoes! Oh and by the way, his old car is for sale on Ebay right now. The 2005 Chrysler 300c has a starting bid of $100,000.
Well, considering the number of Bridal Fairs going on, I do have to say “it’s that time of year”. If you are considering taking the plunge, there is a new destination for couples wanting to go the “quickie wedding” route. Traditionally, Las Vegas has cornered that market, however, New York is getting in on the fun. The revamped Manhattan Marriage Bureau offers two chapels and a store selling any related needed items. It’s part of the Bloomberg administration’s plan to bring tourist dollars to the city. Now if they could just get a drive through, and Elvis to perform the ceremony…
