 another philosophical question

Why are weeds considered bad – an eyesore or something to be gotten rid of?  Because they grow faster than grass or flowers and so they remind us of something that doesn’t exactly fit into the scheme of things and must be eliminated?  Because they are something strong and flourishing and so something that should be feared as taking over what is "weaker," different and/or prettier?   What an example is the weed – our aversion and sterotypical response to things perceived as wrong. Who are we to deem one thing superior to another?

I personally think the weed is beautiful – as much as any other plant especially because they stand as a testimony and lesson of life, and even though the flowering variety fade and die almost immediately after being picked from their home.  But that is a whole 'nother paragraph...
