27- THOSE THAT BREACH THEIR COVENANT WITH ALLAH AFTER IT HAS BEEN RARTIFIED, AND SEVER WHAT ALLAH COMMANDED SHOULD BE JOINED, AND CAUSE MISCHEIF ON EARTH, INDEED THOSE ARE THE LOOSERS.
Allah the Highest speaks of three groups of people whom he describes as the losers:
First group:
We have a number of covenants with Allah the Highest; the most important of then, is to worship Allah only and to worship non besides him.
Allah’s messenger, prayer and peace upon him, said to his companion Moaz Ibn Gabal: “O Moaz, do you know the right of Allah upon his slaves and the right of His slaves upon Him?” Moaz said: “Allah and His messenger know best”. Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him said: “The right of Allah upon his slaves is to worship Him and not to worship partners besides Him, and the rights of the slaves upon Allah the Most Exalted and the Majestic is that He does not punish those who do”. Moaz said: “Allah’s messenger, shall I tell the people the glade tidings?” He said: “No, for they may rely on it”. (M: Eman; 49 & B: Tawheed; 1 & T: Eman; 13 & Ma: Zohd; 35 & A: 2; 309)
On another occasion, Allah’s messenger, prayer and peace upon him, said: “He who dies believing that there is no god other than Allah, will enter the Paradise”. (M: Eman; 43)
This is Allah’s covenant with us, those who do not keep their side of the covenant, do not enter the Paradise.
Second group:
Allah the Highest commanded that some things should always be joined. The most important of them are:
a- To believe in Allah the Highest as well as all His Prophets and Messengers, prayer and peace upon them all. They all carried the same message to mankind, which was finalized by the message of Mohamed, prayer and peace upon him. They are all links in one continuous chain of prophets and messengers, starting with Adam and ending with Mohamed, prayer and peace upon them all.
Allah the Highest spoke of those true believers saying:
“AND THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN WHAT WAS SENT DOWN TO YOU AND WHAT WAS SENT DOWN BEFORE YOU” (S: 2 A: 4)
“THE MESSENGEER BELIEVED IN WHAT WAS SENT DOWN TO HIM, SO DID THE BELIEVERS. THEY ALL BELIEVED IN ALLAH, HIS ANGELS, HIS BOOKS AND HIS MESSENGERS. THEY MAKE NO BREACH (IN LINE) BETWEEN ANY OF HIS MESSENGERS”. (S: 2 A: 285)
The true believers should not believe in some of Allah’s prophets and messengers and not in others. The Muslims believe in all Allah’s prophets and messengers.
The Jews believed in some of Allah’s prophets and not others. They did not believe in Jesus, Yehia (John) and Mohamed, peace upon them. They considered David (Dawood) and Soliman (Solomon) to be kings not prophets.
The Christians, also considered David and Solomon, peace upon them to be kings not prophets and they did not believe in Mohamed prayer and peace upon him.
Both the Jews and Christians breach the chain of prophets and messengers by believing in some and not believing in others. This is a chain Allah the Highest does not allow to be breached.
b- The Unity of the Believers:
The believers in Allah should always be united as one unit. Allah’s Faith and Religion is uniting them. This unity should never be breached. Allah the Highest said: “AND HOLD TIGHTLY TO ALLAH’S ROBE AND DO NOT DIVIDE”. (S: 3 A: 103)
c- The relationship between blood relations should never be broken. Allah’s messenger, prayer and peace upon him, said: “Does not enter the Paradise, he who severs relationship with blood relation”. (B:Adab;11 & M:Ber;18,19 & D:Zakah;45 & T;Ber;10 & A:3;14 – 4;80)
Allah’s messenger, prayer and peace upon him also said: “I have been sent to let people make good their relationships with their blood relations, destroy the Idles, and to let Allah be worshiped alone without partners”. (M: Mosafreen; 294 & a: 4; 111)
There are many Hadith showing the importance of keeping good relationship with your blood relations, even those who dislike you or break their relationship with you.
d- Salah means to contact. Our Salah is our direct contact with Allah the Highest, not through a person or angel. This contact this always is continuous and never broken willingly. Allah the Highest said “KEEP YOUR SALAH AND THE MIDDLE SALAH” (S: 2 A: 238)
And spoke of the righteous as being “THOSE WHO KEEP THEIR SALAH”. (S: 23 A: 9)
d- Allah the Highest made the testimony of Faith, “There is no God other than Allah and Mohamed is His messenger”. The separation between God the Highest and His last messenger prayer and peace upon him is breaching what should not be breached.
The third group:
“AND CAUSE MISCHEIF ON EARTH”.
This is doing what Allah the Highest has forbidden, or inciting others to do so. The worst mischief is to disbelieve in Allah the Highest and to incite others to disbelieve.
Those who do the above are the losers on the Day of Judgment and in the Hereafter. Indeed, on that day there will be Winners and Losers. To win is to believe, worship Allah the Highest and do good deeds in this life.
We ask Allah the Highest to be of the winners on that day. Amen.
