I am currently sitting at my computer completely topless with my Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Masque slathered all over my face, shoulders, and decollatage. I have a sunburn .
I went to work this morning, on my day off, for a training on one of the current lines we sell at the store. I hadn't really seen a lot of the girls lately. So when I showed up in my short denim skirt and eggplant purple tank, showing off my newly acquired tan, the girls were vocally envious.
After the training Cory and our friend T decided to go swimming on our day off and try to tan. I really didn't want to tan much more. I really liked the progress I had over the past weekend. I had taken my son swimming on Saturday and Sunday for about an hour and my color was a nice mild bronze.
Being that growning up I have always been the kid that came back from the beach the color of cooked lobster only to soak in a baking soda bath, I coated my skin in sun block. We went into the pool at around noon and didn't get out until 3:45. I hope I don't peel.......!!!!!!!!!!!!
As I've gotten older, I have learned how to take care of my skin. I am very self disciplined in my skin care regimine. So I find it very irresponsible of me to forget to apply more sunblock every 30 minutes.
I do have to admit this cucumber gell masque does feel like I have cucumber slices all over my body....*rolling eyes in ectasy*. The chances of me keeping some of this color is slim to none but at least I don't feel on lfire anymore.
So as my PSA on this Earth Day will be DON'T FORGET TO REAPPLY YOUR SUNBLOCK!!!
I think I am going to fix myself that baking soda bath.
Baking soda bath is my grandmother's home remedy for sunburns. It's fantastic. It helps with the sting of the burn. But the effects are only temporary.
