My adult size Weimaraner, Luna, has been sleeping outside for the past week. I feel like such a bad mommy. She has spent the occasional night outside but never a whole week. Apparently our whole neighborhood has had an outbreak of fleas. We've been waking up with tiny red itchy dots all over our bodies. And I mean ALL OVER.
Yesterday I spent all day cleaning, dusting, vacuming, washing bedsheets, sprinkling flea powder on carpets, spraying baseboards and I woke up today with MORE BITES. It looks like I have chicken pox. Where I live its hot all year around. I have a closet full of halter tops and tank tops. Yet i can't wear them right now cause it looks like I have the plague. And I worked really hard to trim my arms and body again
.
So I woke up with the full intention of doing some real productive writing. I have procrastinating way too much. But just sitting here typing this is tourture. Each bite calling out to me to scratch it into oblivion. Instead I went grocery shopping to buy more calamine lotion and ingredients to make my vegan banana coconut cookies.
As I was getting home my friend Emily called and we made arrangements to meet at P.F. Changs for lunch. I hadn't been there since it opened. I wore my white eyelet halter top with a cardigan on top to cover my bites. I ended up eating the shrimp in lobster sauce with brown rice...MMMMMM. Anyway I could only eat half of my meal when I thought "maybe I should take my leftovers to Coach." He works in the neighborhood and he LOVES it when I take him food for lunch.
I took him my leftovers and he just kinda like "ok thanks, got to go." and then he said the food was scary slimy! Had I known that was going to happen I would have just kept my food. He could at least been more appreciative. Am I being neurotic? He's a butt.
For the third week in a row I am sitting at home on a friday night. My ex bailed on me this weekend. Normally I would not bitch but I haven't gone out to a bar and socialized in WAY too long. I miss getting drinks from random strangers and talking to people who have really interesting lives. The other thing that sucks is that I have to call into work which means less hours and a smaller paycheck. I hate my ex. This is why marriage was never an option for me with him.
I thought I would post my raves for April just to throw some positive stuff out there:
1. Bumblebee Tuna Sensations in Spicy Thai Chilli. ( WARNING: This is not for someone who cannot hang with their flaming hot cheetos) It has so much flavor in a tiny little pot. Plus you don't have to add anything so the calories on the label are actually accurate.
2. Side Long Lash Mascara by AWAKE. It has a special brush at the end of the wand that lengths the hard to get end lashes without over clumping them and weighing them down. It also has microfibers to help lengthen your lashes. Plus it doesn't leave your lashes with un ugly sticky residue. Its really easy to wash off.
3. Eye Definer Felt Tip Eye Marker by Physicians Formula. This really should be my number one but if you love liquid eyeliner this is a must have. You don't have to deal with little brushes or wands or shaking the solution to make it work. It's just this marker that makes it easy to have a thin line or more defining thick lines.
4. Mangos. There are so many ways to love this fruit. I lately have at least 4 in my refrigerator at all times. I slice them up and sprinkle red chili on them or add them to a banana shake or toss them in a bowl with cereal or oatmeal. I love mangos.
