When The Sims game (for computers) first came out, I got it. I also got some of the expansion packs....Living Large...Hot Date...Making Magic....and Unleashed as they came out. I absolutely loved the game.
Then, The Sims 2 came out. I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I was. So I got it....but my computer isn't quite up to par (to be honest, I don't know how so many kids can play it on their computers. Do they have "geeky" parents that buy gaming computers or something?) Anyway, I took all the games off my computer (completely removed The Sims to install the Sims 2, and then eventually removed The Sims 2), and put them away on a shelf.
But I've missed them. :(
So a couple of times I've tried to reinstall the Sims 2. It didn't work though. But last night I tried again...and it worked! Yay! My computer is still too slow (graphics card sucks, and I probably don't have enough RAM either) so the game doesn't run very smoothly...but I like playing with my little sim family.
Right now I started out with a husband (Drew) and wife (Natalie), and built them a nice little house (using a money code so that they could afford the house)...well, I wanted the wife to have a baby. After three tries with no music (which signals that she's preggers), I called the adoption agency. "Send over a kid!" Well, wouldn't you know it? Next time they try for baby I hear the music. Oh well. two kids at once.
I decided to adopt a toddler (you can adopt a baby, toddler, or child) so I didn't have to deal with two toddler's at once. potty training, teaching to walk, and teaching to talk takes time. With daddy going off to work in his business career track....mom needs some down time that she wouldn't have with two babies.
Well, the adoption van/social worker drops off the kid. They got a little black toddler named Richard. I don't quite understand why he has red hair and what looks like blue eyes, but hey, it's the sims 2 so anything is possible.
Natalie was showing more and more (her belly pops out to 3 different sizes over 3 days to show which trimester she's in). then, their little baby girl was born! (Hannah). It was time for Richard to grow into a child by then, so we swapped out his crib for a big boy bed and he shares a room with Hannah.
Not a whole lot else has happened. Drew's been promoted a couple of times. I can't have people over because more than 4 people on a lot makes things sloooow down. (Sucks when there's a random jogger that runs by.)
So there. Latest blog completely unrelated to me, except for my obsession with the sims.
....I'm gonna go play now.
