(and could therefore appreciate) just how much work women go through to get ready for a date.
This goes beyond just picking out an outfit, showering, and then driving to said destination.
Start at the beginning?
~Besides the basic shower routine, add in shaving our legs.
~Fixing our hair could easily take an hour. We have to dry it and style it (curling or straightening or spiking or whatever it is we choose to do with it).
~Then there's the makeup! Foundation, powder, blush, lipstick/gloss/liner, eye liner, eye shadow, mascara. That doesn't necessarily mean we wind up looking like bozo the clown either! You'd be surprised how much makeup it takes to look "natural".
~Picking out an outfit, depending on where we are going
~Picking out shoes to go with said outfit
~Picking out a purse to also go with the outfit.
~Painting our fingernails and toenails (or going out to get a manicure/pedicure)
*sigh* Just thinking about it makes me exhausted. You see why you can't give us an hour and then wonder why we aren't ready?
Silly guys.
(and don't tell me you'd like us just as much if we wore sweatpants and a t-shirt. Your eyes bugging out of your head at the girl dressed up nice with her hair and makeup done say otherwise).

Mm, you had me with that finished product:) But, I will be one of those guys who says the sweatpants bit. And, to be honest, if you need makeup to the Nth degree to be "normal" or acceptible...then there is something wrong. Or, you have been addicted to that drug so long, it has messed with your skin. I wonder if makeup works like smoking. But, I know one woman from Mexico who can look just as nice and more relaxed without makeup even if she looks daring and sexy with it sometimes. As for the outfit matter, don't get me started on purses:P I dont care about nails or shaved legs(unless you wear something to show off said legs and I care to look down there).
Suffice to say, I could save any woman who worries about such stuff a load of time:p
