| The right to be gay ... Is there a right to it?

I'm not gay. But my heart goes out to those who are. Wouldn't you? Not only is there a big controversary about your actions and attractions being accepted or an abonimation, but also, if your gay, you have no accepted rights that would be granted to others in simular relationships. Homosexuals have the same lust and relationship desires and needs as everyone else does, but it's harder for them to find acceptance for those needs. In some places imposible for acceptance.
Worse part of this is my possition on right and wrongness of homosexuality.
I'm one of those bible reading believes that literally believe everything the bible says. One f those things is that engaging in homosexual relationships is a sin. Not THE sin, like it sounds through the media coverage of ministers, but a sin none the less. I worry about this, because it doesn't seem that gay and lesiban indivuals gave a conscience choice, or even could give a choice about being homosexual or streight. I worry because if it is wrong for a gay relationship when there's little chance for happeness in a hetrosexual relationship, it not only isn't fair, it breaks my heart.
So anyone who is reading this I ask you: Does a person have a right to be gay, and whether you've said yes or no, should homosexuals have standing rights and/or acceptance of the relationships they will posess? These are two questions, and you don't have to answer online. But please think about it. It is my opinion that acting on being gay is wrong, but it's an unfair wrong. It's unfair because they didn't seem to have a choice in the matter, and it's an unfair wrong because it is overshadowed by the imense wrong of how coletivelly we treat homosexuals.
This is Questioned_Man asking, what are your thoughts. |

Excellent post. My heart goes out to everyone who can't find acceptance in what makes them happy. That was the whole idea in my "Question of the Day" post this morning.

Well, thanks! I agree totally with your point of view, until it comes to the sin. Though I won't bore you with biblical interpretations, I will say all the accounts of so called "homosexual behaviour", comes from violence or "religious" rituals. You would be hard pressed to find a simple love a man love a man sin in the Bible. But that is for you to decide.

I like your heart, and I am also often torn when it comes to this topic.
