 Starting to Blog

Hello to everyone.  I am fairly new to this so please bear with me and be patient as I come to understand how this works.  I guess I could tell you a bit about me to start off.

First off I am HIV Positive, gay, and thought this may be a good way for me to get out my thoughts, the daily rituals of medicine taking, life in general, my thoughts on everything from the world to the life of an HIV Positive individual.  I have avoided doing something like this since I found out 9-10-2001...the day before 9-11.  Which was a horrible week to start out with.  But thank GOD that is all in the past and I am only looking forward to the wonderful things that have happened in my life since then.

Where to start?  ........  I guess I could start with giving a history of myself.  I was born and raised in Rural South Eastern Kentucky.  I grew up in a religious household, which was a good thing.  I was raised in a loving and caring home where everyone spoke their mind.  I was taught to be aware of the world around me and the goings on in it.  I was not raised that everything is perfect and that I could have anything I wanted.  I was taught that if you want something all you have to do is want it bad enough and you can have it, hence one of my favorite sayings, "If you believe you will achieve!"  It takes a strong willed individual with a want and desire to better themselves.  I will elaborate more on my life as time goes by.

The Basics:

I am 33.  I was born in 1976, a bi-centennial baby.  The whole Nation celebrated the year I was born...haha...just a bit of humor and self indulgence never hurt anyone right?
I am opinionated and speak my mind freely.  Most people have a flap over their mouth that keeps them from saying certain things....well I don't.  It flows freely from my mind into spoken words.  This has both been a blessing and a curse at times.  I give no false pretense about myself, life, or others.  I can be abrasive with my words or so I am told.  You will hear things that you might wish you had never read....but thank GOD for the GREAT Democracy that we live in!

I don't care what race, religion, creed, national origin, sexual-orientation, fat, skinny, perfect (or think you are).  I don't care if you like to talk on the phone while sitting on the toilet.  Basically you are you and that is just fine with me....but do not try to force your opinions and ideas on me.  If you do you will get a tactful yet abrupt response.  I tell it like I see it, which may be entirely different from your view.  I will respect you as long as you respect me and my craziness also.  All this being said....I hope that you will find something I write here helpful or at least open your eyes and your mind to the world around you.
There are things that I think are crazy and just way out there. Then I may be a polar opposite of you.  Its all good...we are human and are entitled to our beliefs and thoughts.
