Big-name companies are expected among those recruiting Thursday at a free job fair for military veterans and their families.
RecruitMilitary, a Cincinnati company that specializes in job placement for veterans and their spouses, is an organizer for the event at Lowe's Motor Speedway from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Job seekers are advised to arrive by 10:45 and bring 30 to 50 resumes.
Employer participants range from Lowe's, Bank of America and Harris Teeter to FedEx, CPI Security Systems and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, according to the company.
The job fair is one of three scheduled this year for the Charlotte area and dozens nationwide. The next local fair is set for June 5.
Other organizers include The American Legion, the Military Spouse Corporate Career Network and HireVetsFirst, a unit of the U.S. Department of Labor. For more information, go to www.recruitmilitary.com or call 513-683-5020.
