WASHINGTON — Trustees for the government's two biggest benefit programs are warning that Social Security and Medicare are facing enormous financial challenges with the threats to Medicare far more severe.

The trustees on Tuesday issued their once-a-year analysis of the health of the government's two biggest benefit programs.
