Everyone,
Well it's Tuesday. I hope you all are having a good week. I am definitely feeling great after boycotting sodas and the elevator for about 3 weeks now.
I bought some new software for my computer at home and tried to load it. Well, of course, my computer doesn't have enough memory to accommodate the 2007 MS office suite. Well....you know what that means. To the computer store I go! It 's time for a new computer. God knows I didn't want to pay for that, but it's part of my investment in my own future. of course by the time me and mini-me (Alexuss) got to Best Buy, all of the laptops that were on sale were sold out. AND SOLD OUT AT EVERY BEST BUY IN THE AREA. I said alright, lt's go somewhere else. I went to Office Depot and they had computers on sale also. (I think they catch us when we get our tax returns) I bought one off of the display. It was marked down from $949 to $779. I thought that was good. When I called an associate, he asked me if I wanted more $$ off. I said yes, whatever you can do (THAT'S FAVOR AT WORK LADIES!) He came back and said $699. That was enough savings to cover a 2 year warranty for $119. (MY COST $40)
Well, I got the darn thing home, loaded MS OFFICE and been mad ever since. LOL..LOL...LOL...
I can't use the LAPTOP or THE SOFTWARE. What used to be so easy, is hard now. That computer has so many buttons, hidden menus, holes in the sides, sounds going off LOL...LOL...LOL... I could only figure out how to use the cd player. Open it, and put a movie in. That's the best I could do. Now I have to call TOSHIBA, and find out how to work the thing.
AND THE SOFTWARE....PLEASE... I couldn't even figure out how to open a new document. The menus are gone. There's something called a RIBBON now....OOOHHHH. So what? I can't even find the help function on the RIBBBBOOONNN. I was too through. A word of advice...Sign up for whatever classess they're offering on whatever you're buying. YOU'RE GONNA NEED IT!!
Anyway, Justin is doing O.K. He's working out on a regular basis at the school. (FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE NEW, MY SON AND I HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH HELL THE PAST 2 YEARS. HE'S STUBBORN, REBELLIOUS, AND GROWING ALL AT THE SAME TIME. HE HAS A NEW JOB AT MCD'S THAT TOOK 2 YEARS TO GET. SOME DAYS ARE BETTER THAN OTHERS AT SCHOOL.) It looks like he's getting committed to getting some decent grades this semester. If he just keep his room clean I'd be happy.
Alexuss is still the same. She told me the other day, "You can't handle the truth." You know. From the movie. We get each other with movie lines all the time. She's funny.
Please keep me in prayer on my journey. I fly out on Friday 2/22 a.m. and return on Mon. 2/25 a.m. I'll blog you guys from Florida. I'll tell you all about the weather and palm trees.
Don't forget, register for the singles class. I want to see you all and check on your progress. The word is no good without change. An emotional moment is no good without change. NO GOOD WITHOUT CHANGE!!!
Talk to you soon!
Katrina
