Where do I go from Here?
I know I need to make some changes in my life. But there are some things that are in the way of that. I live with my parents. I don't drive, I don't have a license. I would love to move to another state to start  new  and it would be so much easier for me to stay positive because I would be around new people.

Anyways where do I start? I still live with my parents. I still can't do much of anything because of financial issues. I need to get away, especially from mom. I mean I love her and all but its like she is extremely negative and its like she doesnt want to change or improve on herself at all. My dad tells me all these things about my mother and some of the things my dad says is true but I don't really know about the rest of the statements said. I can feel and see my mothers negativity. I mean I don't really know what to do. All I can do is help her when I can with the money and all of that.

Why do parents make their children go thru misery like they are?

There's a saying...you can pick your friends, but you can't pick your family...so we're all stuck with the ones we have...:) No sweat P, after you graduate and get a great job you should look into maybe moving into your own apartment...for now, i think you should save up as much money as you can...and, try to talk to your mom about her negativity, she might see the brighter side of things through you :)

I agree with luci.. my mom and dad say things about each other all of the time.but i have learned to tell them both to shut it and its not my problem or fight. It's between them what they say about each other. you should not no matter how old you are have to go through that, so next time your father says something, just say listen i love you, but if you want to say it to my mother talk to her about it. and leave it at that. just think positive about what you want in love and where you are going rather than fixate on the negative. so you dont have your license, okay goal one, get your license. in order to get where you want to go, you need to take babysteps first. :) good luck!

Parents don't necessarily intend to put their children through misery. I speak as a parent when I say you don't realize how much even a change in mood affects your child until it's already said and done. Maybe you mother doesn't realize that what she's saying is affecting you the way it is. She probably has no intention of doing that at all.

Why don't you go and take your drivers test and save up your money to buy a decent used car. Small steps Plakola, small steps!

I know how to feels to have a parent thats like that. We want the best for them but they seem to no want help. I dunno, but they human to I suppose and they have problems too and I know they don't intend on making your life hell. But look your on a good path your soon to finish school. You will get where you want to go. Keep that drive and don't settle for less. It will happen.. Love ya girl

Hey, you can't eat an elephant in one sitting ... small bites at a time... work out what you want to achieve and then make small goals that will head you that way.... baby steps my friend, baby steps.
