Defining Ourselves & Views on Marriage
1. So many people say that sexuality, gender, race, physical appearance doesn't define us but my question is what does define a person?

2. Is normal over-rated or under-rated? What do you think the definition of over-rated and under-rated means?

3. What is your view on marriage (heterosexual marriages of course)? What is the good & downsides of being married? Does marriage has that men control everything factor? Is there anyone who doesn't believe in marriage and why you don't believe in marriage?

Give me your opinions. I would love to read them.

Well I will answer question 3#: Marriage is great if you find the right woman or man. And men control little in marriage as men do not at all control the exit. How can you control something if the other party has MUCH more power in a major aspect of it?
Women RULE over divorce.
Men are the bad guys there.
Ok what the heck.
Yes normal is overrated as the abnormal make the changes in the world.
And what defines a person is set by the definer: I may see someone as a bad person because they are gay or black, or divorced, or an ex-con or whatever, you may not. What is a noble act to you may be the act of a fool to me.

1. Erm...I suppose I think to a large extend society defines us (although this should not be the case) in that we always seem to feel a desire to 'fit' somewhere. I believe we are defined by labels placed on us (such as 'white', 'black', 'gay', 'straight' etc...) but that we ought to be defining ourselves. Saying 'this is me, I'm a good person...' or whatever. I'm not convinced that makes sense...maybe I'll come back to that later when I've thought some more.

2. Before you can define under and over-rated, you need to define normal, but I don't think this can be done with total confidence. What is normal anyway? A hundred years ago it wasnt normal for a woman to wear trousers!

3. As for marriage. I'm separated and my marriage was kinda disatrous...but I would still marry my new fella like a shot. As WhiteKnight said...if you find the right person it has the potential to be wonderful, and if the person is right for you, there won't be any issues of 'control' but of equality. You will just 'fit' together. The key is to be sure you have the right person, and that's where I went wrong seven years ago...I just didn't have the patience to wait for my soulmate to come along and the consequence of that for me will be being a divorcee at 27!

As usual you've got me thinking...lol
Thanks for another interesting post xxx Take care xxx

I will answer #2 Being normal is defently over rated I mean what is "normal" anyway? I don't care what anyone says nothing in the world s normal and I hate when people say being gay isn't normal cuz I concider myself normal.
