Abortion
I will take a break from talking about my boring life.

Abortion is defined by the removal or expulsion of an embryo from the uterus, resulting in the death of the embryo. Abortion is a one of the controversial topics of all because there is a very intensed debate about the unborn child on whether the unborn child is human or not. Some people say its inhumanely unethical and some people say its very humanely ethical. I say that its humanely ethical in alot of circumstances. I am Pro-Choice. I believe that its the females choice on what she does and what she puts in her body. If she wants an abortion, let her have the abortion. Its no ONE's business on what a female does with her body. If you want an abortion, you have to get the abortion within 10 weeks of pregnancy anyways. The embryo is NOT even showing any signs of life. So the debate question is, Is that Murder? I don't believe so. If the embryo isn't showing any signs of life, its not human, at least not yet.

What do you people think? I know I will get some comments on this one.

Although there is no way to accurately predict the future, I can certainly see that, in some cases, bringing an unwanted child into the world could be tragic for both the mother and the child. Say, for example, if the mother has been raped or if she is a serious drug-user.

I could never condone abortion as a method of birth-control, though. I know it's done all too often, but it's very wrong. If you are going to take responsibility for your body, then take it...and use birth control if you're not ready to become a parent.

well i guess ill be the second person to comment. Everyone has their own opinion and runs thier own life. My thoughts, Abortion in my book is a no no. I never believed in it never will. My mother believes in pro choice. When i called her up crying cause i was in shock, i couldnt believe what was happening to me, but when i told her i was pregnant she didnt seem happy at first, because i was crying she probably was thinking what the hell is going on, maybe she wants to have an abortion. but since i have a good boyfriend and his family is backing everything up shes ok with it now. Im ok with it now. Yea having a baby changes everything but the Lord gave me this baby for a reason. He will never give you something that you CANT handle. and it has to be taken care of 6 weeks because within the 7th to 8th week the heart starts pumping and you all killing something that you created.

i have a very typical pro-choice view - it is only a "child" once it can live on its own. as long as the procedure takes place before that, abortion is fair game.

in regards to people "using it as a form of birth control", does anyone even know of anyone that has done that? i know i don't. i know a few people that have had one abortion, but i've never known of anyone that has USED it for that purpose.

well as a guy many women would invalidate any opinion I might I have. but it is not Just your body in question, that child is also A Part of the male involved.
Recent studies have the majority of scientists (No religion here dragonseal) believeing that the Person is viable and alive within moments of the sperm penetrating the egg, with complete DNA sequence and the total potential of any human, undeveloped does not mean not alive, take single cell life for example.
Studies also show decreased life span and substantially increased health problems over the entire remaining life in 100% of women whome have had an abortion.

I personally do not believe in abortion for me...could never do it under any circumstances....but....I don't have the right to tell someone else what to do with their lives....

I think its difficult (if not wrong) for anyone to decide what someone else should do with their body, especially considering that whatever choice that person makes will haunt them forever. And i think its too easy to judge when you're not faced with that particular situation. So I am pro-choice.

this is in response to Long up there - 100% of women? so you're telling me that they've talked to every single woman that has ever had an abortion? ok, in all fairness, i realize that this study was done among a sample of women, but how big was the sample? could have been 5 women, for all we know. and where did you find these "studies" you speak of?

abortion is the killing of a unborn child that relies on there mother for PROTECTION. Doesn't the baby have a RIGHT to live.
