 How Young Is Too Young?
Have you ever thought about the premature sexualisation of young females??
Girls as young as 8 wear padded bras, have their own mobile phones and all the rest. Why have they been exposed to this? Why can’t they wait until they are old enough?

Girls have sex at 13! What kind of parents let them do that?!
Back in the day, females didn’t have sex until they were married and they didn’t have mobile phones at all. Women were bought up to respect themselves and the beauty of waiting. Waiting for the right time and the right person. No-one would ever imagine their 14 daughter going out and having sex, then falling pregnant.

Usually, you wouldn’t start wearing a bra or shaving your legs until you were at least 13 (unless you desperately need to), didn’t get their first phone until they were 13, didn’t have sex until they were at LEAST over the legal age (16)! Not now though, now it’s about 12-13 average. What is going on in the world??

Little girl's g-strings? What the??? Kids don’t need to look sexy, why do they need high heels and mini skirts? How came these girls parents buy them these things? Why do they want to grown up so fast? You need something to look forward to when you get older!

In the paper today (Wed 22nd July) there is an article about little kid’s clothes. Having inappropriate slogans on their tops. For example 'The Condom Broke' or 'Mummy Likes It On Top'. Honestly, why would you want your children to wear that? Doesn't it embarrass you? Why do you want to expose your sex life? Personally I would be embarrassed to make my child wear that!
These statements show that the parents who are suppose to protect them are exposing them to such things at such a young age.

How would you feel if your mother made you wear mini skirts and bras at age 8? Wouldn’t you feel a little bit exposed? Wouldn’t you feel the pressure that is on you to grow up quicker? Wouldn’t you feel like your not allowed a childhood?

Some people say ‘Well if you don’t like them, don’t buy them”. Why were they even made? What’s the point?? Yes, fair enough, if you don’t want your children wearing them, don’t buy them, but sometimes you shouldn’t even be able to have a choice. These poor children! They are supposed to be so young and innocent. But not anymore, now these products are available for sale.

All I can say is poor children.

Yes, I do often wonder about this stuff. However, children don't want to be children. They want to be grown up. It does make me wonder about the parents and how I'd like to slap them. But it also makes me wonder how nothing has really changed in thousands of years. Essentially it's always been this way, just not in our part of the world. I wonder - can we attack the companies that manufacture these abominations?

Girls seem to copy thier Mothers. If the Mothers dress inapropriately then the daughters do also. That is my theory anyway. Let's face it, one can read too much into changes in fashion. Females just like to be noticed.

hello there, I have the same thoughts and wonders as yours on this blog. Seriously, I think people are getting into 'business' younger and younger. I just don't know how to deal with it and accept it as part of the'life'. The world has really turned upside down and inside out. I thought 'my generation' of the youngs are trouble enough... but I think I was wrong on this.

Read my blog http://www.thoughts.com/babyblue_girl/blog/for-the-age- for-the-fun-or-for-the-trend-328921/

I'm just speechless watching those 'youngsters' today. Oh, and Zippey. You're right. Children now just don't want to be children. However, the adults on the contrary wish to be children again. Sigh... Ironic eh?

I grew up with 4 sisters and not 1 of them wanted to be cosidered a "girl" they wanted to be young ladies/women. even then [the early 70's] the tv shows, advertiseing, and mag's were promoting that gereration's girls to "grow up"fast. this trend just seems to target younger and younger girls.the shows you see [even on disney, and nick ] show this generation, flasher, sexier,"role models" they want to be just like the girls they see on these shows.so not even "kids programing"is safe anymore.

I really enjoyed your blog, i can see were your coming from, theses days young girls are growing up to fast and not enjoying the days were they can act sweet and innocent and not have to worry about being looked upon as a bad example. Young children shouldnt have to look sexy as they shouldnt really have anyone to impress. Our parents are our role models and they should be setting a good example or if they don't they shouldnt expect much more when there children wants to be just like them (e.g dress the same, talk the same, and act the same).

This is sooo true, young girls are under so much pressure these days to grow up and be like everyone else.
I totally agree with everything you have written about, and i think all of this is true about young boys as well.
All young people are under so much pressure from society to conform and act like adults, society is taking away kids rights to a childhood!!
