Super Mario Galaxy. Quite a game to remember.

Look familiar? Well, if it does or not, it's not what I'm blogging about.
Gaming is my life. It's what I want to do with my life, and it is a big part of my life even now. So when I heard Nintendo was breaking the cycle with a repeat of Super Mario Galaxy, I was thrilled. Nintendo has always been a stickler for the rules, meaning, they have always stayed within the guidelines set by and for gamers. But real gamers know that when an out-of-the-ordinary game is published, people SWARM. Nintendo came out with Super Mario 64 in '96, then Super Mario Sunshine in 2002. Two years ago, Super Mario Galaxy was released. I was expecting, in a couple of years, a new, weird game in the Super Mario series, not Super Mario Galaxy 2.
Now, even though this game isn't even scheduled to come out 'til sometime next year, there is a lot of inside info on it already. According to Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Mario, there will be 90% new levels and the rest will be variations on some of those in the original. In his own words, "I’d like to go with as little story as possible. I’ve always felt that the Mario games themselves aren’t particularly suited to having a very heavy story. I just feel that the Mario games are something that should be a much more bright and active experience. With the Mario games, you don’t need to have such a complicated setting where you have these particular characters with complicated back-stories that can weigh down the bright and fun feel of the game.” He also said in a NintendoPower interview, that this game is directed towards hardcore gamers. This is EXACTLY what I've been waiting for from Nintendo. Nintendo has been trying a little too hard at making a game with a storyline that is in depth, and being able to put it in the game without the player really noticing. The library in Super Mario Galaxy was totally unnecessary. They could have found another way to slip Rosalina's past into the game without making a whole big thing out of it. So, I'm very glad they're planning to just leave that whole scene behind. Also, I have been eagerly awaiting a game directed towards hardcore gamers, and especially a Mario game. Nintendo has been lacking on his majorly in Mario games. As much as I love the Mario Party series, I miss that old time feeling when I've just beaten a level that took me days to do so. Both of these thing will equal huge success for the game because it will still be for hardcore gamers without making them think to much about the storyline.
In conclusion, Super Mario Galaxy 2, I predict will be a great hit and a large money maker for Nintendo because of its unique approach to Mario fans: It will have a less complex storyline, making it easy to follow, while still appealing to hardcore gamers with its game play. Also, new levels will make the game new and exciting, and the old levels will give Super Mario Galaxy veterans a sense of familiarity. And even if you haven't played the original, I would still hope you take a chance on this game. It could be a good game for gamers and nintendo fans everywhere.
