You wanted A poem for Christmas, LftH, so...
Merry Christmas!
My heart was untouchable
for what seemed a lifetime.
My soul was unreachable
and needed a lifeline.
I followed a divine road
that tested my patience.
I was in survival mode
and the road made no sense.
Then one day you came along.
Your soul was just like mine.
Now I felt like I belonged
and my trapped heart could shine.
We are now here, you and me,
even though separate.
Our souls are together, but free.
Our love is infinite.
