Hello Everyone,

I know...I know....I've been away for a LONG time! I've been SO busy the last couple of months. I hope that all of you have been well. Please drop me a line and let me know what's been going on with ya! I'll have to visit the blogs of all of my friends and catch up next weekend.

SPRING BREAK IS OVAH!!
Well..I had a week without ANY school and let me just tell you all...I didn't know HOW to act! How ironic was it that spring break would fall the week of my birthday? So you KNOW I got my party on! The Friday before my birthday, I had a party at a local fun center with a few of my friends, my friends, my music producer and my hubby. It was so exciting being the center of attention and most of all, singing my first song, "Get it right", LIVE for the first time ever. It was so thrilling hearing the music over the loud speaker and seeing everyone in the audience looking at me in astonishment. I felt like that was the beginning of something wonderful that night. Since the song was written FOR my husband, it was only fitting that I would sing the song directly to him during my performance. He enjoyed it, even though he says I embarassed him and everyone was staring at him. He felt special and that was what I was trying to accomplish. We danced, sang, ate wings, candy, cake and laughed until midnight. I had 2 special friends, Terrell and Frank, sing happy birthday to me that night. What a blessing it is to have people there who care and wish you nothing but the best in life. I also had a dinner party this past Saturday and in attendance were my family, a few friends and my husband. We had a great dinner at Bugaboo Creek and the food was delicious. The staff came out with the moosehead to sing happy birthday to me and it was special. Now it's Sunday..and I dread tomorrow because I will be back in class struggling with this damn Economics class. I'll be SO glad when I have my degree so that I can focus 100% of my time on music and making all of my dreams come true.

MARITAL BLISS
Lately, my husband and I have been having a very special marital bliss. I guess it's true when they say the first 8 years of marriage are the roughest ever! Well we are approaching year 9 and just like the title of my song, we FINALLY got it right. I am so happy to have him in my life, loving me unconditionally and caring for me and our four special cats. He is truly a good man and it took God and some years to make me realize that what I have is a prize. Maybe not in the eye's of the "hater's", but I know what he does for me 24/7 and that is all that matters. I'm sure that many of you are feeling me. You have people in your lives who are always trying to tell you that what you have is bad for you and that you are stupid for dealing with some things. I find that it's better just to leave well enough alone. If you are having problems with your life, just don't confide in anyone because no one is going to be able to help you through a situation but God Himself. Tired of praying? Pray some more. Prayed some more? Pray some more. Trust me I know...I have been there. I prayed for 7 years to turn my marriage into something "close" to perfect. It was frustrating waiting for him to come around, but the wait was worth it. I feel so loved and I feel like I am on cloud nine to have someonelove me the way he does and put up with my crap on a daily basis...and STILL love me with all his heart.

THE CATS
The cats are doing great. I'm a little concerned about my oldest cat Mateo. Not only because he is getting older (12 years old), but because I see in his eyes that something is just not quite right. When you've loved a pet that long, you know when the body language isn't right. I really need to get my baby to the vet to get a check up. I want him to be around for at least another 10 years because he is so precious and loving.
