Roxy Music sign their 10 foot Les Paul for Gibson Guitartown London
Bryan Ferry, Phil Manzanera and Paul Thompson from the iconic British band Roxy Music recently visited the Gibson Guitar Entertainment Relations Studio in London to sign their hand painted ten foot Gibson Guitar sculpture as part of Gibson Guitartown London. The free - standing fiberglass guitar named “Re-Make/Re-Model” was specially designed and signed by acclaimed visual artist Stephen Buckley. The guitar can now be seen publicly around More London, South Bank, SE1 by City Hall.
The unique guitar forms part of the Gibson Guitartown London charity campaign and is currently on public display at More London by Tower Bridge, London SE1 until 12th September. Following the display, Roxy Music’s signed guitar will be auctioned off to raise money for The Prince’s Trust, Teenage Cancer Trust and Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy at an event in October.
Roxy Music have just released their self titled DVD which features 13 songs recorded live between 1972 and 1974 which includes their hit “Virginia Plain”.
