Well, everybody has a debate over which console system is the best. The fight has mainly come down to just 2 consoles. The ps3 and the xbox 360. While most people have decided to buy the 360 for such classic hit games such as halo, halo 2 and the most recent, halo 3. Other games were introduced and were a smashing success. Microsoft has really oudone itself on this one. Gears of War and Bioshock were instant hits. My theory, and many of you will disagree with me on this, is that since ps2 and xbox were competing, some stuff happened. ps2 was by far more successful than the xbox. It seemed that nintendo launched the game cube, sony launched ps2, and microsoft launched the 360. While Game cube was mainly for kids, ps2 was for everyone, and the xbox was geared towards adults. Since kids play their paren'ts consoles, more kids must have found out about it, and got the generation geared for the 360, which blew ps3 out of the water.
The ps3 in my eyes, is far superior. It doesn't crash exactly when you don't need it to, it doesn't have a red ring of death, leaving you console-less for weeks. My friend plays his 360 about 2-3 hours day. After 2 months it crashed, but it's ok, in the short time of 4 weeks they sent him another broken one. Then 3 weeks later, microsoft got him a working one. So for playing their system like it was a job, he gets rewared with 7 weeks of no gameplay and $267 dollar charges. What makes me mad is how much the thing overheats, because it has vents, and it has the big box thing, that takes up space and looks ugly.
Plus, I never understood the big hype about Halo, because It's simply just another FPS. Nothing so amazing about it. Resistance has better graphics, and you can choose between human and chimera. There are some significant differences. Humans can sprint for however long they want, and chimeras can use their chimera power to sprint and sense heat for a limited amount of time before they over heat and start slowly losing health until they reach the halfway point, then they remain in sprint/body heat sense for as long as they want, however, they are very vulnerable to attacks. It seems that microsoft stays on top of their game with cheap, but very good products. I prefer Microsoft computers, but personally I believe that they aren't the best at making a console. How I do like their games, they need to work on perfecting a model of the 360 that does not crash quite so often.
