| Sex and the City: Cure for the Breakup Blues

Nothing like watching half a season of Sex and the City for making me feel normal, rational, and justified in my breakup blues. AND optimistic about the future. Things that the show showed me:
1. There are a ton of hot, intelligent, succesful men out there. So I am done with a radio host? Well there are film producers, lawyers, zoologists, chemists, etc ,etc. Tons of guys TONS! And, if I got along with one there are definitely others I can get along with.
2. People go through break ups, it is a natural occurance. Until you find someone. And I have my friends to guide me along the way :)
3. I can't make things work with someone who it won't work with: I have to be strong and the right person will come. The person with whom I am willing to overlook those other boys for :)
So I feel pretty good about things. PLUS, I actually revealed my obsessive break up tendencies to my friends tonight after we finished watching Memento (which was a lot less great than I thought it was when I was 16). Conversation:
Me: That movie reminded me of the Ex, which sucks.
Tennis: Next time you think of him, just think of me instead. It will raise your standards of men and attractiveness, I think.
Me: I am going to be obsessed with you then, Tennis.
Tennis: Cool.
It's better just to be open about that shit. And shit it is. Fucking bullshit. Damn it.
Now is the perfect moment to allow myself to be. Happy. :) And I am.

i am so happy that after a break up you were able to realize all of that wonderful stuff, you truely will be fine and will find someone worth loving. i am in the process of a break up kinda? i still have no idea what we are yet, but its not easy and watching sex and the city definetly helps. i have the whole series and i probably watch one episode a day, lol. well good luck with everything and good luck finding that special somebody=)

Thanks! And just one a day, eh? Geez...I have gone through half season 2 in one day haha. I am glad to hear that sex and the city helps another ! :)
