STORMY WEATHER
Call me insensitive and non-caring.  OK, maybe I am insensitive and I'll even take some arrows for being uncaring but I've had enough of the TV going ballistic every time bad weather happens.  I don't care if some trees are falling or power lines are down (if mine are down don't worry I'll know about it and if I don't then tuff darts for me).   Are they really that more caring than I am?   Heck no they're not; they're probably just covering their ass from law suits for not telling the public for hours on hours about this storm that's coming.
It doesn't matter if the storm is in just a small corner of Arkansas, the whole state has to buckle down and hear every little detail which no one cares about (I'll bet even the few who are going through the storm don't care).  Give us our programs back and let the people who are worried go to the weather channel.   As long as I'm gripping did anyone else notice how when they do return from this interruption it's always just in time for everyone to catch their commercials?  I think they are even using this "stormy weather" emergency for some other purpose.  I don't know, maybe taking a poll on the irate callers who want their shows back on so the TV programers will have a better grasp of just how popular some shows really are.
And of course, I'm not going to forget when WHEEL OF FORTUNE is on they always have that little stormy weather thingie right in the way so you don't know what catagory the puzzle is and let's also remember when a big game is on they always hide other game scores and stats behind that same thingie or some stupid little weather map.  Tell me that's not irritating and probably intentional as well.  Is Arkansas the only state that gets tormented by primadonna weather reporters waiting off stage for stormy weather to come so they can make their grand appearance (show time) or are other states in the same boat as us?

I hate that too. It never happens on the TV in the UK though.

From e-mails and your comment Arkansas is the only state so far that gets tormented like this when stormy weather hits.

You're right Mumsi. I was at my computer needing to post something, anything (it has been a while) and I couldn't think of anything I wanted to write about. The weatherman was on doing a great imitation of a broken record and so I posted. Kind of like being mad at something (you don't really know what) and then here comes the poor dog and so I pounced. Anyway, you're right. It does make me mad but it's not that important. Thanks for the comment.

You bet Mumsi,
I can't wait till you start finding your glasses that you've spent hours looking for on your forehead. Now that is bonkers. Or you're even wearing them.

Am there already! Gave myself a red eye trying to take out a contact lense that wasn't in, it had fallen onto the floor but I'm so short sighted I couldn't tell!
