A LITTLE COMMON SENSE FROM KARL
It seems to me there is only one reason for a political group to press relentlessly against any attempt to verify that those allowed to vote are citizens who actually are who they say they are and indeed are entitled to vote:  To facilitate a fraud upon the body politic by protecting the ability of the dishonest to defraud the electorate with the votes of ineligible or non-existent voters.  This is the consistent position of one of the two major political parties in this country, and their recent set back at the Supreme Court will not deter them from continuing to devalue the votes of every legitimate and honest citizen.
The recent Indiana voter identification law was upheld by the Supreme court on a 6-3 vote, drawing even the concurrence of old liberal lion Stevens, who apparently has some regard for honest elections, the minority consisting of only the usual outrageously anti-Constitutional, anti-American, and anti-capitalist triumvirate of Souter, Breyer, and Ginsberg, easily the worst three Supreme Court justices since Roger Taney finally packed it in after the Civil War.
The Indiana lawmakers had been no less than heroic in covering every contingency of the poor, old, or infirm, who, not having driver's licenses, would have to obtain a special photo ID for the purpose of voter identification.  Anyone not having a driver's license who wanted to vote only had to declare themselves a hardship case and the taxpayers of Indiana graciously rushed to cover the very modest cost.  Those too troubled to bother to bear a photo ID with them who showed up insisting to vote anyway were still allowed to cast provisional ballots, and come later with evidence they were who they said they were.  None of this was enough for the party of replacing constitutional democracy with socialist rule by elite apparatchiks.  How dare we, they say, endanger the voting rights of women and minorities?
How dare they, I say, insult women and minorities by pretending they are too helpless to bother to bring a photo ID to so important a duty of life as voting for your elected representatives.  You can not cash a check at the grocery store without a photo ID.  Are we to be more cavalier about whether convicted felons, illegal aliens, and dead people choose our government than whether the grocery check bounces?  Iraqis and Afghans brave machine gun fire, rockets, bombs, and death squads to cast their votes.  Are we too high and mighty to bring a photo ID?
One party has continually pushed to make voting easier, less verifiable, and more prone to fraud.  From the outrageous motor voter law in the nineties to this latest insult, the party that calls itself "Democrat" continues to prove their intent to undermine our democracy by diluting the votes of honest citizens, and do it consistently in each cycle with enormous success.  Any vote for a "Democrat", especially to our national government, is a surrender of honest government by the people to a corrupt tyranny of socialist elites.

All Americans, native born or naturalised, speak english. Why does California print some ballots in spanish?
Wisconsin law allows anyone to go to any polling place during the last two hours of voting, ask for a list of people who haven't voted, claim to be any person on that list, and vote without showing any ID.
Thousands of New Yorkers migrate to Florida every winter, and are registered to vote in both states. They vote in person wherever they happen to be, and by absentee ballot in the other state.
These are all solid liberal states.

You're correct and the example you cite are typical outrages against commonsense democracy.
