| WHAT WE HAVE HERE IS A FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE |
What can politicians do about all these people who are so "disruptive", "loud" and "rude" in these town hall meetings? Well, I've got some suggestions:
(1) They can start by reading "their" own bill they are promoting before they attend these meetings.
(2) Another suggestion might be for politicians to stop lying by only using talking points they get from their fearless leaders.
(3) If politicians want to lower the volume at these meetings then they should stop the people holding the mike from pulling the mikes back from anyone asking difficult questions. That's right, it's not most citizens talking loud because they want to but because they have to. Granted that's a clever (but not new) political ploy but it certainly adds nothing to the civility that they claim they want.
(4) The politicians could also stop calling the people who attend these meetings Nazis, unAmerican and uninformed when the majority of them have at least read the bill before they attend which most politicians haven't.
ANOTHER REASON FOR A FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE
With all undue respect to the late Ted Kennedy, he could have been up front with the public about his support for opening the Mexican border. Instead of saying anyone who opposed open borders was a racist while he supported it because he cared so much for the Mexicans who were only looking for a job. He could tell the people the truth that the only reason he wants "open borders" is because that means more votes for him and his party.
Kennedy then added insult to injury by wanting to help people get higher wages which he was causing to stay low by promoting this massive increase in laborers by raising the minimum wage which would only then probably cost them their job. The simple law of "supply and demand" proves he, at the very least, is economically stupid and is exploiting the uneducated by blaming everyone but himself (even the free enterprize system) for the low wages they are having to work for.
SOLUTION
The only solution I can see to this "failure to communicate" is to vote them all out of office because we will only get more and more angry with no change. I now realize what Jefferson meant when he said a little revolution every now and then is a good thing.
