 Rain in Belief
The sky breaks open, like the drop of a pin
And the patter of rain drops brings chills to my skin
While the lovely darkness floats beyond all we know
And the poets, like children, beg for the snow

These tears lick my skin, the love from unknown
The beauty of you must truly be shown
For I am but nothing that you see right now
So in this deep rain, could you tell me how?

This fighting that goes on, just back and forth
Is proven by rain, to be all it's worth
We are who you see, and then nothing more
Yet here in this water I begin to be sore

The clouds cover all, a pure fantasy
For I am drowning, but still I am me
The struggle begins as the fish touch my skin
I reach out to pet one's silky, wet fin

Within this cold dream I see the real thing
Reality hits me with quite a strong ring
All that I feel is the stinging of rain
Yet all this dreaming just lessens its pain
